Here's the twist: the nose sells a soft, honeyed cane charm — vanilla, cinnamon, a little dried apricot — and then the palate turns dry, peppery and tannic on you. At 52.2% the young oak grips hard, and a few tasters wish it had more roundness. A young Martinique agricole with plenty of promise; several rate its sibling Karakoli just as highly.

Édit : nouvelle dégustation au calme. Meilleur que dans mon souvenir. Frais fruité, presque sur le cerise au nez. Et des fruits exotiques en plus de la canne fraîche en bouche. Cool. Dégusté au Multi Verres Spirits à Lyon en février 2025 : j’avoue que je l’attendais tellement que je suis resté un peu sur ma faim. nez un peu droit Bouche orangée épicées légère Finale légère caramel chocolat au lait Texture un poil aqueuse

J ai déjà goûté tout les rhums vieillis de la marque pour l instant c était le Karakoli qui m avait le plus convaincu. Je mettrai celui-là encore un peu en dessous. Pourquoi, à cause de la bouche dont le profil n est pas trop à mon goût (trop de piquant et amer). J aurais aimé plus de rondeur. Finale plutôt longue, sèche, tanique et un peu fruitées poire.

Tasted this nice expression at Rhum Fest Paris 2026. It’s distilled in 2019 at the Saint James/J.Bally distillery in Martinique. The nose is complex, aromatic, rich, fresh, woody, spicy and fruity with scents of vanilla, exotic fruit, mango, iodine and tannins. At the palate it’s complex, powerful, balanced, sweet and roasted with flavors of honey, coffee and tannins. The finish is rather long.

#6426 03.03.2026 Enjoying a few samples afte a long work day in Copenhagen. Watching a Danish TV programme about crazy drivers on the roads. The price tags on the Baie des Tresors are usually always very good and you get your moneys worth. The same with this one, you get a smoot well balanced rum with fruits, chocolate and some ginger to mention a few.

Découvert au Limoges Spirits Festival 2025. 👃 Canne à sucre mielleuse, bois jeune (épices cannelle et poivre gris), le côté agricole sur des fleurs séchées, et les fruits plutôt secs (raisins, mangue, abricot, cerise). 😋 Douceur de canne confite et caramélisée, comme un bâton de sucre d'orge vanillé. Boisé vanillé épicé, amer et tannique, grain de café grillé. Les fruits sont en retrait mais bien présents, fruits secs, l'abricot me vient à l'esprit. ⛳ Moyenne, boisée, sèche, épicée. Un côté tanins du fût, canne à sucre en retrait, tabac léger. 💡 Tout aussi réussi que son petit frère le Karakoli, ce véritable 4 ans donne un joli aperçu de ce que peux donner un baie des trésors vieilli. Hâte de voir la suite.

On the nose, it's very inviting: wood, spices and a lovely honeyed sweetness. On the palate, the attack is dry: the tannins take over directly, with a good dose of bitterness. The finish is rather average, with that bitterness hanging on. In short, it gets off to a great start with a classy nose, but on the palate, it goes a little freestyle, too lively and bitter to really convince.

Goûté lors du RhumFest Paris 2025. Après le Karakoli, on reste sur une première pour Baie des Trésors avec ce rhum vieux joliment marqué par son fût. Plus sombre que le Karakoli mais très agréable. Épicé, frais. De la canelle. Très agréable.

Ayant bien aimé leurs premiers produits, je continue avec ce "baie des trésors brin d'amour". Au nez : canne à sucre, floral, végétal légèrement épicé. En bouche : le côté boisé et agricole ressort avec une belle fraîcheur tout de meme. Final : Belle longueur, boisée et épicée. Belle dégustation

Endlich Mal ein etwas ältere baie des Tresors der zeigt was hier in Zukunft noch für eine tolle Qualität kommen könnte. Schöne würzige Aromen von Zimt, Piment und Muskat, angenehme Holzigkeit und etwas Birne und getrocknete Aprikose. Angenehm zu trinkender Agricole...
