Sehr verhaltene Nase. Im Mund dann schöne Wärme. Er hat etwas dreckiges jedoch insgesamt eine gute Balance. Vorne im Mund viel Passionsfrucht. Später kommt noch Cassis und leicht Minze dazu. Abgang etwas eindimensional.

Bouteille seulement ouverte. Bonne aération du verre d une demi-heure. Nez assez en retrait , pas facile de rentrer dedans , c est fruité sur la pêche- mangues, un peu de boisé, sucre caramélisé. Bouche agréable, j aime bien ça change des tdl auxquels on pourrait être habitué. Il y a un équilibre et et une belle continuité. Le fruité reste sur la pêche-mangue , le petit côté sâle a l aspect du rôti et on termine sur un peu de fraîcheur mentholée enrobée de chocolat noir. Je remonter ma note de 0.2 Je l aime de plus en plus, le nez s exprime plus, entrée de bouche qui ferait penser à un jam fruité sans esters, alcool bien intégré.

Auch wenn dieser kein herausragender TDL-Blend ist, so ist er doch außergewöhnlich interessant und ich betrete Neuland. Dunkle Schokolade, Leder, diverse Gewürze und ausgeprägte Keksaromen sind einfach untypisch für das klassische Profil.

8,8:On the nose, roasted/toasted wood notes with caramel, cocoa, caramelized burnt sugar, fruitcake, eucalyptus, red fruits like cherry, peaches, raisins and prunes, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses is minty, dried apricots arise, roasted nuts, allspice, vanilla and coffee. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is delicious, fruity, sweet with candied fruits, dried, citrus fruits and peaches, on oxidation passion fruit, raisins and banana, the oak is toasted with caramelized burnt sugar, dark chocolate, fruitcake, leather, later coffee and caramel, spicy with vanilla and allspice, as the molasses is minty, earthy with tobacco, dark with black tea, some hints of eucalyptus are found, metallic patina. 8,6:The finish is long, dry and tannic, minty, oily, smoky and dirty, with roasted notes like nuts, caramel, biscuits, spicy, fruity with dried and citrus fruits..

Notizen aus meinem Blog : Nase: Ein wenig verschlossen, neben dem Utopia wirkt es viel weniger vielversprechend. Pfirsich, eine Toastseite vielleicht oder eine Röstseite im Hintergrund, eine leichte Holznote... Die relative Frische des TDL wird ein wenig von der Schokolade und den Gewürzen überlagert, aber das ist nicht weiter störend. Wenn ich nur den Mund analysieren müsste, würde ich vielleicht auf einen Guyana tippen, weil er sehr vollmundig ist.

TDL mit eher ungewöhnlichem Mix aus jungem und gereiftem Anteil. In der Nase eine Mischung aus frischen, leicht rohen Noten und klassischen Trinidad Aromen wie Holz, Gewürz und etwas Minze. Am Gaumen trifft Jugend auf Reife: einerseits grasig und kantig, andererseits würzig und strukturiert. Wirkt nicht ganz ausbalanciert, hat aber einen interessanten Ansatz.

Mir persönlich hat diese T.D.L Abfüllung wirklich gut geschmeckt, dass ich zusammen mit MrRumantic die letzten Flaschen aufgekauft habe am GRF. Wenn man ihm einfach ein wenig Zeit im Glas gibt, verschwindet das alkoholische relativ schnell und es entwickeln sich schöne Pfirsich Noten. Mir gefällt besonders das es nicht wieder ein Einheitsbrei Minzbome ist.

Super entspannter gut gemachter 2006/2008 blend mit einer schönen süße und Würze. Pfirisch Eistee, Schoko cookies, Mandel Gebäck, Minze und Pfirsich crumble. 114€ für 0,5 sind etwas happich aber die Qualität überzeugt durchaus. Lässt sich sehr gut trinken!

Profil assez lisible. Grosse sucrosité contre balancé par la menthe et l'acidité de fruit (fruit de la passion ?). En tâche de fond, le boisé se deploie avec son chocolat, café et vanille... Tout semble parfait, et pourtant je ressens un côté un écoeurant... Le nez est assez éteint comparé à la bouche. L'aération le rend plus équilibré.

Sehr schöner TDL wenngleich er eine bemerkenswerte Süsse am Gaumen mitbringt. Nicht ganz so frisch und minzug wie andere, dafür bemerkenswert fruchtig. Alkohol ist ordentlich eingebunden. Ein guter Kauf, sagt auch die Frau und das ist ja letztlich auch nicht unwichtig….

Notes from my blog: Nose: a little closed, next to the Utopia, it seems much less promising. Peachy, toasty, maybe, or roasted in the background, a slight woodiness... and unfortunately aeration won't change anything, 30min later it's the same thing - be careful, it's still a sample, it can play. Mouth: WOW! An oily texture, just the way I like it, lots of exotic fruit, mango in particular, a dark chocolate edge, a little leather... It's an oily sweet/savory mix that works wonders. Completely charmed =) The relative freshness of the TDL is a little overwhelmed by the chocolate and spices, but that's not a problem. If I had to analyze just the palate, I might have bet on a Guyana because it's so full-bodied (in a good way). Finish: The oiliness and cocoa, which I didn't know much about on a TDL - but which I recently discovered with Swell De Spirits (On Tour Salon de Spa) - bring a rare gourmandise. It's obviously very, very long on the palate, making you salivate and thirsty!

A smooth blend of two not so common vintages from TDL. The nose is shy, peach and some icy mint, plus some white chocolate and pastry notes. The palate starts from pastry and developes two parallel notes, a minty and a peachy one. Not the best in class but one I enjoy drinking.

Nicht die TDL-typischen roten Beeren und Johannisbeeren sind hier vertreten, sondern eher Pfirsich, was aber zur recht dominanten Minze sehr gut passt. Mit Wasser wird er sogar noch minziger! 😉 Wer auf Minze steht, kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten.

Puh, ich weiß nicht, was ich von diesem TDL halten soll. Im Antritt hat er neben seiner Süße und dezenter Fruchtigkeit auch eine ganz interessante Barnyard-Funk Note, die leider hinten raus in ein etwas unangenehme metallische Note umschlägt. Sonst ist er für mich auch nicht sonderlich komplex. Für mich persönlich kein Highlight.

A beautiful TDL blend of both medium and heavy rums. Surprisingly, the is one is focused on peach first, followed by classic menthol notes, as well as a caramel cocunut sweetness. This is one is very interesting, it's going a different way than most recent TDL releases.
