Now impossible to find, it was at its release price of 42 euros, a great value for getting into aged Agricoles. In my opinion, it has now become a collector's item.

04-05.11.2022 Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival 2022. Another return to this big event where many people go to get drunk. Once again we had a special event for a select set of people. Notes. A very nice and balanced rum with fruit and spices. The Agricole notes are kind of light but still a nice rum. Medium finish with light marzipan.

Compared to the VSOP, I like the VSOP a bit better. The Millesime is more complex on the nose, but overall the VSOP seems more harmonious.

Gourmand nose on rum baba, vanilla and a vinous side (muscat?). On the palate you strongly feel the reduction unfortunately... apart from water it is still good on mild spices, wood, caramel. Finish quite short on caramel and spices.

An older bottling that I recently got for about 70€. Dried fruits, ripe bananas. Citrus, especially orange. Spices like cinnamon, ginger and a restrained influence from the cask. Sugarcane and grass are there. Melted aromas and surprisingly strong for 43%. Great, complex nose anyway. 🤩🤩 On the palate it continues similarly, the spices and wood come more to the forefront. Not a powerhouse, but the 43% are more than enough. With swallowing begins a nice, warming finish that could be a bit longer. A very good, easy-drinking Agricole and rather on the heavier side for an Agricole. More of that!

🌱 Trois Rivières – Triple Millésime (1998 / 2000 / 2007) – 42% First multi-vintage aged blend from the house, from three great Martinique crus, aged in French and American oak barrels respecting the AOC strictly. 👉 Nose: very gourmand, nice vanilla upfront. 👉 Palate: same observation as for the Clément... the rum is clean, balanced, on soft spices, wood and caramel, but the reduction is too present and the finish clearly lacks length. ➡️ At 50 € release price, the quality/price ratio remains correct. ➡️ But let's be honest: clearly below the Triple Millésime 2023 (2006-2014-2016), much more expressive and memorable.

Really rather a great rhum. Nose is leather and brown sugar and on the lighter side. The mouth hit is a big spicy punch with a praline sugar element in tandem, not typical and something that I really enjoy. Times when I think it could be too spicy, especially as the finish is long and peppery but it comes together in a great package. It almost feels half way between an agricole and something Barbadian. Looking forward to trying more from the distillery

Tasted again a few years later the score is around 8.1/8.3, but I will leave the score from the first tasting where I perceived aromas now absent. ---------------------- It's like the 2001-2005-2011 counterpart, but with added red fruit notes, while the wood and leather notes are more subdued, the finish is more intense.
