If you want your rum to taste like liquid dessert, this is aimed squarely at you — honey, caramel and vanilla pile on thick, with pastry and coconut behind them. Several tasters call it more liqueur than rum, and a couple picked up a faint glue note underneath. At 40% it's soft and syrupy. Uiuiui, what kind of sample have I found again? It doesn't help, these freebies have to go. All in all, a little better than A.H.Riise stuff, but still far too sweet and artificial for my taste. I used it as a sugar substitute for my espresso. I only gave it a 4 because it is really drinkable as a sweeter coffee.

Tastes like a spirit and not like rum. Lots of sugar and caramel. Lots of pastry and coconut plus a bit of vanilla. For me way too sweet and way too much aroma. Unfortunately can't recommend it.

Clearly aimed at lovers of very sweet spirits. Honey, vanilla, and caramel dominate so strongly that the real rum character is hardly noticeable. Clearly too artificial and one-dimensional. Those who prefer dry, authentic rums will hardly be happy with this bottling.

These standard advent calendars are pretty lousy. This "rum" is way too sweet and way too artificial. You can detect vanilla and honey, but that doesn't change the fact that this rum is just bad.

This is a honey rum liqueur. Not as extreme as the one from the Canaries, but still very thick, sweet and primarily honey-flavored.
