8,8:On the nose, esters on steroids is the first impression we get, some nail polish with overripe, fermented tropical fruits like pineapple, passion fruit, banana, mango, then roasted wood notes as marzipan, pastry, honey. On aeration, a molasses is felt, spicy wood, vanilla, cream toffee, citrus and red fruits, well fermented with cream toffee and dried in the end.Complex, very enticing, aromatic. 9:On the palate, the attack is sweet with esters on steroids, very fruity, with overripe tropical fruits like pineapple, passion fruit, banana, mango and delicious roasted wood with cream toffee, honey, vanilla, pastry. After resting, fermented red fruits arise, we might think of tasting a prunes marmelade a bit later, molasses is vegetal, earthy, the wood smoky, spicy with allspice, at last a lime is present. Delicious and balanced.Alcohol is integrated very good. 8,7:The finish is long, a bit dry, very fruity with marmelade like notes, estery, with floral and vegetal molasses, smoky and woody with crispy bread note..

Next up was a Hampden. Again really delicious. I love Hampden. Very fruity on the nose and in the taste...tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple come to the fore. I highly recommend this rum.

Sehr guter Rum mit sehr fruchtiger Nase. Am Gaumen ebenfalls sehr fruchtig, zusätzlich trocken, leicht salzig. Sehr guter junger Hampden, die typische trockene/leicht salzige Note am Gaumen stört mich hier irgendwie. Im Nachklang kommt nochmal sehr viel fruchtiger Süße, was mir sehr gefällt!

Působí to velmi vyzrálým dojmem. Chuťově zpočátku zase takové zralé ovoce s technickými tóny, ale s poměrně velkým nášupem tříslovin zřejmě díky virgin oak sudu.

Again, a nice bottling from S.B.S. Jamaica, so you already know where the journey is going ;-) Mainly tropical fruits and esters on the nose and palate. Can still recognize pineapple in the nose, mango and passion fruit on the palate.

Jung, wild, frisch. Irgendwie geil. Sehr junge frische fruchtige Esternoten mit ein wenig nagelack. Rote beeren nehme ich auch wahr. Geschmack hat viel power mit typischen Hampden Style. Abgang ist wärmend und Alkoholisch

A solid Hampden, the HGML profile remains my favorite among the high-ester rums. The release shows its youthfulness, the tropical fruits are brisk without being too biting - however, I believe that the rum would have benefited from a little more time in the cask, as the flavor counterparts to the fruitiness are still too shy for me. However, the profile is fun and lingers in the glass for a short time - which is partly due to the overall harmonious profile and partly due to the very well-integrated alcohol. A welcome option for Hampden lovers.

A pretty wild thing that S.B.S has bottled here. The fact that it is very young can definitely not be denied, which is why it still has a few rough edges. All in all, a nice wild ester firework with tropical fruits. If it had stayed in the cask for a few more years, it could have been something really good
Review by Dr.Django
Esters, nail polish, furniture polish and tropical fruits in abundance. With such bottlings, you can already guess from the key data what you are getting in your glass. The integration of alcohol and the influence of the cask are always a question mark. The alcohol could be better integrated here. The rum is also somewhat woody and bitter, which somehow doesn't match the rest of the distillate. Almost a blind buy for me. Thanks for the sample @Rumtata

Nett, aber HGML kommt nicht so durch. Im Mai Tai solide. Alles in allem wohl einfach zu jung

Rather on the bitter side, but still really good!

First fat nail polish in the nose... Boar really fat . Papaya annas and mango join in ... Alcohol well integrated. On the palate you notice the alcohol more clearly ... Spreads violently in the mouth . Fat esters mango papaya annas and fruit esters without end.... but also immediately a little too woody and bitter notes. Somewhat bitter finish. Good bottling but a little too young. Solid in Mai Tai 3/5

Tropicke ovoce a estery, v chuti lehka stiplavost, kterou rychle vystrida naloz ovoce
