Sensational opportunity that Sven from Rum Rarities made possible for me here. Many thanks for that! Having a Clement from 1819 in the glass is definitely a special experience. On the nose, given the perfumed cherry-cinnamon note, associations to Courcelles arise, but gradually more ester-heavy fruit aromas come in, reminiscent of old Grand Aromes. On the palate, an amazingly round picture, again fresh fruits, spices, some wood, a great residual sweetness that reminds of sugarcane in the finish. Impressive quality with an almost unbelievable history.
