Review by Jakob
The nose is characterized by oak, chocolate, tobacco and dark spices. The same spectrum on the palate, recognizable spicy aromas paired with a heavy sweetness. Very pleasing Demerara profile, but lacking complexity. A great rum for lovers of heavy, sweet Guyana profiles.

Tasted a freshly opened bottle side by side with the Pussers 50th Anniverary and the El Dorado 2012 LHE/DHI, two personal favorites that I previously rated 8.5 and 8.7. This TWE store pick shares a lot of DNA with both of those bottles, so if you enjoy those you'll definitely enjoy this. More refined and complex than the Pussers 50th. Fuller mouthfeel, slightly drier less acidic sweetness than the LBI/DHE with the addition of a coconut note - although nowhere near as coconut forward as most Foursquares. Nice!
