#6432 04.03.2026 Time to relax in front of the TV with this pretty good release. I missed it at the Whisky Live 2025, but now I got the chance. Thank you Henrik for the free sample. Also time to give my new "Wee Glencairn" glasses a run 😊 This is a very nice and fruity rum that needs time to open up. ABV is pretty well integrated.

A Single Cask signed LMDW that has aged both under the tropics and in a continental climate. The nose is both fresh with herbal and smoky tones, which is original for Barbados. Citrus and yellow fruits timidly grow alongside spices in the background. It's quite nice at first approach and different from what we usually know. The nose's mass ends here. The palate is spicier, more neutral and paradoxically lighter, quite typical of Bajan rums aged in a continental climate. Spicy, roasted and chocolatey flavors timidly meet caramel, dried fruits and citrus. The 46% alcohol tries to make itself felt, like trying to show off its muscles. The finish is medium-long, warm and dry. Spices, caramel and wood dominate the scene with some additions of alcoholic dried fruits in the background. As interesting as the nose was, the rest quickly falls into oblivion, which is a shame because it's rather cheap for a Single Cask.
