A quite pastry-like nose that improves with airing. On the palate, a good taste of nougat, hazelnut with that woodiness typical of Longueteau. Very well made, an average finish that one would like to be longer.

I am much more convinced by the Homage than by the Tradition which had disappointed me a bit on the palate. The 2 extra years of aging have really been beneficial. This rum is all roundness. The nose is quite light, but I like it a lot on the palate, it reminds me of desserts (flambéed banana, raisin cake, salted caramel) it’s indulgent. The finish is a bit more than average.

Longueteau Souvenir L’Hommage – 45% Homage to Louisette, grandmother of François Longueteau, this old agricole rum aged 5 years in red cognac barrels. Result: a very soft and elegant profile, easy to drink. Maybe a bit short on the palate, but perfectly balanced. 🎉 Final clap for this edition of the Rhum Tour! Next meeting: our traditional closing event... the BBQ Rum! 🔥🥃

Tasted at the Spirits Days salon in Tournai. Lots of nuts, nougat on the nose, a more woody palate, hazelnuts. Very smooth and well made, but not necessarily to my taste. Finish a bit short.
