First raw column bottling under the distillery's name, this Montebello perfectly combines strength and elegance. The nose is super intense, you can feel all the vegetal and floral scents, accompanied by the freshness of lemon and its zest. Fresh tobacco and sugarcane are also present in the olfactory part, along with a slight spicy tone. A powerful but controlled profile. The attack immediately grabs the palate with its intensity but also its freshness. The oily texture adds a bit of fatness to the mouthfeel. Exotic fruits, citrus, chili, and agricultural sequences (greenery, sugarcane, floral aromas) make for a tasty profile, but to be consumed in small doses. The integration of the alcohol is impressive, the profile is very refined. The finish is extremely long, with the warmth of the alcohol and spices being perceptible. But very quickly the green and fruity notes on citrus and tropical fruits arrive to soak the palate and bring some breadth. A very beautiful product that testifies to the quality of the distillery's know-how. It ranks among the top raw column stills released in recent years.

#5587 23.08.2025 Gotten 8 new samples from a friend to test. Heavy trance is playing on Spotify. Nose Intense, fresh, Agricole, citrus, light melon, faint tobacco, sugarcane, spice. Palate Oily, intense, fresh, Agricole, medium spicy, light melon, light floral, citrus, light grass. Finish Long and warm, medium intense, light grass, light oily, light papaya. Empty glass Floral, melon, sugarcane, light honey. Needs to rest for a good while or add a few drops of water. Opens up very nicely over time and ABV is well integrated.

⚡ Montebello Pure (BDC) - 79% A true monster of power, but all elegance! On the nose, it's greedy and clean, without aggressiveness despite the 79%. You can smell the fresh cane, but also vegetal notes, green apple and lemon zest. On the palate, it's a vegetable fireworks display: cane, freshness, spices, a hint of smoke... Full-bodied, precise, with a rare elegance for such a high alcohol content. An interminable, vibrant finish. It reminds me of the intense pleasure I felt on discovering the Longueteau Genesis a few years ago. A personal crush. We love it... but we're going slowly, out of respect!
