Billed as a sherry-cask finish, but most tasters barely find the sherry at all — what comes through is bourbon. Young oak, vanilla, caramel and a little dried fruit, with a nose several people call weak and a palate that reads more like a light whisky than a rum. Well, somehow this rum is not really my thing, it's too whisky-heavy. Bourbon is very clearly recognizable in the nose and palate. Otherwise, there's wood in the nose and palate, and it tastes very alcoholic, with a bit of caramel coming through.

Actually a very exciting rum that still doesn't really grab me. The nose is faintly bourbon and fruity with a hint of vanilla. Then a little woody on the palate. The sherry finish doesn't really come into its own

Unfortunately very weak on the nose. Young wood, bourbon-like. Slight fruitiness. On the palate, those bourbon notes are then much more intense, overall better than the nose. The sherry finish is subtle on the finish.

Too weak on nose. I don’t get why the rum age is not specified. Actually not much is known about this rum in general. Anyway, it’s my first Canadian rum from Alabama. It felt quite average to me with weak notes of bourbon and cherry.

Sample no.3 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2024. Fruity and sweet on the nose, vanilla and coconut. Tropical fruits with citrusy notes of orange. Palate is woody and semi-dry. The sherry cask is very hard to find.

Pleasant fresh fruity aroma with vanilla. We continue in the same spirit on the palate. In the finish dried fruit, fresh red berries, vanilla and well-used cask. Everything flows smoothly. Unpretentious rum, sherry finish helped a lot, overall satisfaction.
