Overall an extremely round and smooth rum with typical Montebello aromas and tastes. This rum, R1963 Blanc, from the Carrere Distillery in Guadeloupe is a blend of two different Montebello rums, the cuvée brut de colonne Bolokos (red cane R579) and the cuvée parcellaire Winch (white cane R570). After blended it was brewed and rested for 7 months before bottled in only 787 bottles.

Nice rum this Canonball. Has nice vegetal and fruity notes on the nose. Citrus fruits are recognizable. On the palate also fruity and vegetal. Sugarcane is noticeable here and in my eyes it tastes very peppery too.

#5885 10.10.2025 Enjoying a handful of new samples i received from a friend today. Nose Light, sugarcane, light salt, light olive, faint floral, light citrus. Palate Oily, fresh, light, warm, naturally sweet, light olive, light salt, citrus, sugarcane, light floral, peppery. Finish Medium to long, warm, medium spicy, sugarcane, light floral, citrus. Empty glass Sugarcane, light anise, light floral, citrus. There is a perfume note hidden in the profile.
