Tasting date 26.08.2026 RX22696 Westerhall Grenada 1996. Nose: Green apples, walnuts. Light oak, fine fruity sweetness, floral notes. Mouth: Caramel and peppery notes, dried fruits and a bit of honey. Burnt orange peels, oaky touch with oily texture. Residual taste: Green fruits and white pepper, light ginger. Creamy and nutty notes. Dried fruits, light bitter oaky notes. The glass: Bitter oak, sour cigar tobacco. Tasting “In the cave”

#1822 14-08-2026 - Rate 9.0 Have tried many New Bedford Park bottles the past few months. Really high quality almost all of them. And this Grenada Westerhall is no different. Many of Bedford’s labels are really good. But this one looks like a old whisky label.

Tasting at "Basecamp" on 20.08.2026 Nose on an adventure👃: I sense cream toffee & walnut. It's fruity & sweet. There are light orange notes, as well as raisins. The alcohol is noticeable too, but the sharpness fades after some time in the glass! Tongue on an adventure 🥃: I taste a lot of delicious stuff! It's powerful, creamy, and warm in the mouth. Orange & orange peel are clear. There are roasted nuts & black pepper. The tail of the story💫: An oily/creamy rum with a lovely long finish of cask & dried fruit!

Closed nose, just rum. Foursquare profile somehow. After some resting I get some cookies in the nose. Taste also Foursquare profile. Long finish. Easy and tame. One dimensional. Not bad not good. Not worth it's price.

Honey, with some roasted nuts, orange and spicy aromas. It tasted slightly sweet, rounded flavors of citrus fruits and nuts, a little bit of dark cocoa. Oily and not too woody considering the age. Medium to long finish.

Blind, I'd probably have mistaken it for a Foursquare. There's a lovely blend of vanilla, coconut, caramel and ripe tropical fruit notes. The finish is more woody and cocoa-coffee bitter. The whole is very pleasant and not too woody for its age.

Nose: Clearly wood forward given the age but it's not been stripped of all the character of the distillate. Light florals. Green apples. Spice. Has a little peppery spice to it. Palate: Oily enough. A hint of ginger. Sharp green fruits. Caramel and honey. Drinks very well.

25/04/25: Bedford Park tasting with Stijn. Very rummy on the nose. Almost Foursquare-like. Not very complex unfortunatetely. Sweet, alcoholic. The fact that its 27 years old is unbelievable! No dark, heavy character from the barrel.
