Quelques esters très discrets qui subliment un rhum qui sent bon les agrumes (peau d'orange, pamplemousse rose). Une bouche explosive encore sur ces mêmes agrumes, mais adoucie avec un côté plus végétal, avec des racines (gentiane) et aussi des notes plus terreuses loin d'être désagréables. Un longueur en bouche puissante et suave. À regouter à l'occasion !

👃 = j'ai des agrumes (orange, mandarine) avec un mix de fraîcheur et d'esters, un peu vineux et un peu boisé ainsi que des notes de beurre, de vanille et de cannelle. 👄 = l'attaque est agréablement franche s'ouvrant sur un jus ample avec l'ajout de fruits secs, du poivre, un peu d'amertume et des notes herbacées. La finale boisée est fine et persistante. 🥳 Le trio de CSJ (Joey Starr, Ludovic Kpodar et Guillaume Château) nous amène faire un bien joli voyage 😋

🇦🇺 Australie 2006 (52,1 %) Premier single cask de la série. Une belle promesse sur le papier, mais en bouche, une amertume un peu trop présente a gâché l’expérience pour moi. déguste salon au Rhum Tour 2025

Au nez, il évoque un Jamaïcain high ester, avec beaucoup d’agrumes (orange sanguine, pamplemousse) et beaucoup d’amertumes. L’alcool est présent mais pas gênant. En bouche, l’amertume est plus marquée, avec du citron vert, des zestes d’orange et une touche très terreuse, presque végétale, rappelant une salade frisée. La finale est moyenne, avec une amertume persistante, proche d’une gentiane. Un profil intéressant pour les amateurs d’amertume, mais un peu dérangeant pour moi.

Vraiment pas le rhum que j apprécie. Je n ai pas du tout retrouvé les marqueurs de certains rhums australien qui m avaient bien plus. Ici j ai vraiment été dérangé par son amertume , voir brûlant .on attend que quelque chose se passe et ce côté amer astreigent s impose jusqu au bout.
