Most tasters land in the same place: well made, very woody, and heavy on bourbon-cask vanilla. One member's nose reads "as pâtissier," while a couple wish it kept the fresher grassy side of the earlier ESB batches. Underneath the oak there's fresh sugarcane, a lime-acidic edge, earth and a long dry finish. A young agricole that oak drives more than fruit.

#5945 09.11.2025 Having an online tasting with old friends covering, Denmark, Singapore, New Zealand and China. Hopefully we will all meet up in the beginning of the new year. Price to quality is usually always good but this distiller. This one is no exception. A fresh grassy releas with some nice fruits, vegetal and light salty notes. There is also some cherry anf floral notes hidden in there.

Fût très marqué après ouverture de la bouteille. On sent vraiment le bourbon à plein nez. Passé outre cela, le rhum reste très bon avec des notes de gras, de bois et de canne fraîche intéressante.

Goûté à l'occasion du Rhum Fest Paris 2026. J'ai particulièrement aimé les premiers ESB de Baie des Trésors et ce nouveau batcj du Karakoli leur succède bien. On y laisse malheureusement le côté très frais des ESB mais on ygagne un agricole très sympa.

An extremely woody young rum. A cane that has benefited from the sun. It's a bit like America in the tropics. The result is close to dynamic aging.

Clairement different de la gamme fruits des pluies - Brin d'amour qui sont sur des cannes humides. Ici on est beaucoup plus dans le sec, boisé moins frais et herbacé. Au nez : canne, terreux, bois. En bouche : bois, agricole, canne à sucre, frais, acidulé avec une pointe de citron vert. Assez fort en alcool et sec. Final : très belle longueur Belle dégustation à l'image de ce qu'à pu sortir baie des trésors! même si je préfère leur gamme cannes humides le vieillissement de leur fleur du vent est une belle réussite tout de même !
