Sipped neat, this is a divisive Brazilian sugarcane-juice rum: vegetal and earthy with young oak, a medicinal-mineral edge and a whiff several tasters read as varnish or petrol. There's some vanilla and faint fruit underneath. A few found it a pleasant, whisky-like craft pour; others hit only harsh barrel. One reviewer likened it to Clement XO.

Pleasant herbal aroma, apple or baked apple like strudel, cinnamon. Taste nicely fruity with a herbal touch. Warm finish, herbs, fruit, strudel, cinnamon, well integrated cask. For me a nice surprise, slightly reminds me of Clement XO.

24 Days of Rum 2024 - Black Edition - Day 06 First impression: gives off a pleasantly fruity smell when poured, legs in the glass Nose: fruity, wine, slightly vanilla Palate: sharp and one-dimensional, more Armagnac than rum, later only wood and barrel Finish: medium length, slightly bitter at the end but not unpleasant Overall impression: I find the contrast between nose and palate disappointing, which led to a downgrade from >6 (pleasant) to <6 (mediocre). At least there are no off-flavors... just mediocre.

Sample no.6 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2024. Agricole rum on the nose and palate. Earthy vegetal notes with that fermented sugarcane juice sting.

Vegetal and earthy agricole notes meet young wood, vanilla, and a medicinal-alcoholic aftertaste. The flavor doesn't live up to what the nose promises. An exciting exotic, but quite idiosyncratic in taste.

24 days of rum #6. Pot-pourri and a hint of paint varnish. Golden pour. Maybe a little tangerine. Not bad and great to see non cachasa rum from Brazil. A little on the harsh side but smoothes out on the finish.

Number 6 of the 24 days of Rum black Edition is a bit worse again. On the nose very medicinal and mineral. Some wood is also noticeable. On the palate it then goes towards Agricole, again some wood, also vanilla and chocolate.

Number 6 from the 24 Days of Rum Advent calendar. On the nose I somehow smell gasoline. Also slightly woody and vanilla. The rum comes from Brazil. On the palate also a slight vanilla note. Not a must-have.
