This is Venezuelan molasses rum in the classic Spanish style — dried fruit, caramel and vanilla over heavy oak, with a sweet-wine cask adding weight. At 57% it's a big, warming pour, but the alcohol sits well integrated and the finish stays long and warm. One member compares it to old Diplomático vintages, only louder.

Klassischer spanischer Stil. Erinnert mich an dir Diplomatico Single Vintages aus meiner Anfangszeit. Nur sehr viel ausdrucksstärker. Insgesamt sehr kräftiges Profil. Auch das Süßweinfass gibt ihm noch mehr schwere. Ein kräftiger Rum für starke Nerven.

Köln-Bonner-Rumtasting: die Nase war Recht alkoholisch was sich jedoch im Gaumen relativiert hat. Allgemein ein sehr zugängkicher rum mit viel getrockneten Früchten und Karamell. Alkohol sehr gut eingebunden und lange warm im Abgang.
