Extrem dunkel. Holzig, Kaffee, Röstnoten, Cola, getrocknete Früchte. Leider modrig. Etwas Funk. Im Mund dann besser. Kräftig, würzig. Überraschend ein schöner Abgang. Zitrus, Würzig, Tabak getrocknete Früchte. Keine Ahnung, wo der gebrannt wurde, jedenfalls eine interessante, alte Abfüllung.

Tasted at GRF 2025 Came across this rum at the Catawiki stand. Based on the bottle (especially markings on the bottom of the bottle) it seems that this rum is bottled in the 1950's. Which in itself makes it very nice to try the rum anyway. The rum itself is very dark in color, almost like Coca Cola. I appreciated the rum very well. At that moment it smelled and tasted amazing. I took a sample and will try some more when at home. After testasting the sample at home with a variety of some other rums. The rums still holds up very well. It both the nose and taste a very in-depth. It does has some additives and the alcohol of 46% could be a bit higher. Nevertheless, fantastic unique rum to try.
