For the nose, re-test without a cold. The taste is a great success. The alcohol is clearly present, but the sweet fruit and coconut take up more and more space, as do the spices. This sensation becomes more pronounced with aeration. No real length, which is a pity. But it's rather pleasant. Edit: alcohol a little too present for an early line-up.

It's well made. Round. A little dry over the length. You can feel the WI more than the 10% Fs (and that's normal because it's 90%).

Robe is golden. Nose is nice but not very strong, quite discreet almost but evocative and with personality. Attack is ok, quite round, yet spicy, with undertones of chemicals and honey. Finale is quite long and sweet. And the more he opens up, the rounder the rum gets. Quite nice.

Après avoir dégusté et acclamé le Old Brothers LPCH, apprécié mais sans plus le MGB, passons au FWI pour les initiales de Foursquare (10%) West Indies (90%), assemblage de rhums de Barbades de 3 et 5 ans, a 47,1% et embouteillé à 636 exemplaires. On a un nez et une bouche gourmande comme sait si bien le faire les Barbades. Avec des notes plus persistantes de noix de coco mais surtout boisées. Le résultat est plaisant mais la finale est sèche ce qui me laisse sur ma fin. Conclusion de ce trio Old Brothers: travail d’assemblage et de réduction de bonne qualité mais j’ai préféré le LPCH.
