Store visit Rum Paradise Hamburg April 2025, own bottling especially for Rum Paradise. Here is a fruity Barbados on the nose. On the palate we have the complete fruit palette, as well as a pleasant sweetness, especially honey is recognizable here.

Pleasant bottling. Quite sweet. The nose has light notes of raisins, chocolate, hazelnuts, honey, and nougat. The taste is very similar in notes. The finish is rather short. The ABV could be higher; it tastes almost a bit watery.

For 31€, I couldn't say no. The nose is filled with sweet caramel notes and embedded fruits. The alcohol initially stings a bit. The palate also fills with sweet caramel notes and candied fruits before the roasted barrel notes take over. The finish is dry with a fuzzy mouthfeel with barrel and caramel. Good for casual sipping.....

I was able to taste this rum, along with some other varieties from Planteray, at the German Rum Festival. At that moment, I liked this one the best, so this bottle came back with me to Hannover. I think it’s perfect to enjoy on a nice evening in front of the TV on the sofa.
