Very intense wood flavors from nose to finish. Burnt sugar and (red) fruit on the nose. The very long-lasting spiciness is added on the palate, and I also taste cherry. The alcohol is a little too overpowering. Overall, the typical Rhum J.M flavors are present; for me, however, only a medium-class bottling

A Rhum J. M that leans more on the dark spicy side.. Fruit aromas in the form of dried fruits are only subtly perceptible.. this carries through from the nose to the finish. A good J. M, but not particularly complex.

8,7:On the nose, sugarcane, vegetal, flowery, mineral, sweet with honey, toasted wood notes like chocolate, caramel, nuts, pastry, biscuits, bbq hints, vanilla, dried apricots, raisins, yellow fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, warm spices arise with nutmeg, pepper, burnt sugar, leather, the sugarcane becomes herbaceous, grassy, citrus, red fruits join, some candied. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is slightly alcoholic, fresh with sugarcane juice, flowery, mineral, candied with licorice, peppery, fruity with cherry, berries, dried apricots and raisins, currants and citrus fruits, later peaches, mirabelle plum, the wood is toasted with caramel, burnt sugar, roasted nuts, biscuits, pastry, leather, spicy with baking spices, vanilla, winterly.Barrel impact is strong. 8,7:The finish is long, dry&tannic, with grassy, flowery, mineral sugarcane, red,dried, yellow, citrus fruits, pineapple hints, toasted oak notes, spicy. Very beautiful color (copper red). Very good nose. Nicely balanced, good drinking strength. Slight solvent notes, dried and red fruits. Woody, roasted, strongly spicy. Vanilla, caramel. Very strong and very spicy on the palate. A bit alcoholic. Nice finish, long and spicy. Very much in the style of the house. Strong, spicy (we already had that). Good value for money.

Although, as everyone knows, I'm not the biggest Agricole fan, I have to say I quite like this one. The drinking strength is very pleasant. The price-performance ratio is more than okay.

Great roasted flavors/spiciness with vanilla and light fruitiness. Surprisingly little grassy and floral for Martinique. Alcohol perfectly integrated. Very nice bottling.

J.M is one of my favorite profiles from the Agricole world. The rums are usually not over-the-top spectacular (=> 90 points) but wonderfully drinkable and reliably high quality. Same here. The French oak ensures that the vanilla doesn't dominate too much and rather the spicy-dry character comes through. Alcohol integration is the only weak point, not terrible but we've had better.

On the nose, immediately honey sweetness and caramelized pineapple, followed by vanilla and wood. On the palate, vanilla comes through clearly at first, quickly followed by intense woody aromas that are slightly musty. Overripe cherry is also noticeable. The woodiness remains on the palate with a certain spiciness and ends with a long-lasting aroma of vanilla pods.
