Tasting next to their LROK and the Wisky Jury C<>H 2013. Nice C<>H with an interesting nose, very medicinal and lots of nailpolish. Mouth is too sour and bitter in my opinion. Rather short to medium finish. Whisky Jury takes the win.

25/04/2025: Bedford Park tasting with Stijn. A 10yo Hampden, of which 5 years were continentally matured in an ex-rum cask. Not a bad rum, but the finish could be better/longer. The ABV is pretty high, but it drinks below that. I do like the label design.

Buttered popcorn everywhere, with some sweet vanilla and caramel notes. Bursts in the mouth like pop rocks and sour candy. Medium’ish finish but drinks well below its ABV. Some spice lingers. Interesting to taste alongside the LROK.

Read full review →For people who love Jamaican rum, especially in that classic high‑ester Hampden style, this is a great bottle. Bedford Park have done smart things here: chosen a cask that has aged well, left the spirit alone and let it do all the talking.. It’s definitely not the sort of thing...
