A Cuban molasses rum with long fermentation distilled in France. Not common, to say the least. And naturally, the result is surprising and the nose doesn't resemble anything I know. Solvent like Jamaica, lime, discreet tannins. Surprising. On the palate, a first regret: the reduction is very strong and must have been quick because there is an unpleasant watery sensation. Caramel, vanilla, solvent, citrus zest. Slightly spicy alcohol. Peppery finish on lemon zest. A rather well-made UFO.
