"Mal was ganz anderes" is the recurring reaction — a Panama column-still rum drenched in red-wine cask. Red wine leads on the nose and palate, backed by red berries, a whiff of glue and a little cream toffee. Some catch a dry, tannic finish with black pepper; a few find it thin and a touch disjointed. A wine-forward rum more than a classic Panama.

Now to the sixth rum of the Rum-Club Online Tasting from 09.05.2020: RumClub Private Edition The Two Casks Red Edition Edition 12 Las Cabras Distillery (Panama) Aged 5 Years (tropical aging) 46.1% 6 Months Blauer Zweigelt Cask Finish (continental aging) One of 475 Bottles Contains some sugar (4.6 g), probably from the Zweigelt. Color: Light clear reddish brown, reddish shimmering. Smell: Definitely fruity. Gummy bears with white chocolate and cream. A little smoke is also there. Taste: Sweet and soft. Slightly fruity/fruity. Some vanilla. Somehow unharmonious. Finish: Short and watery. Conclusion: Well... Neither my wife nor I really liked it. It's too watery and unharmonious. 78 points.

Again a solid average rum. This time no sweetness at all, but we have red wine and glue on the nose. On the palate also red wine and some fruitiness. Also the cask can be tasted. Solid.

A very tasty RumClub with 46 percent alcohol content. The red wine and red fruits clearly dominate here, a bit of solvent as well. Also a nice red wine finish. I like it and can recommend it.
