Smells , tinned peaches , funk tobacco smoke . Slight taste of lowered down wray and nephew .light funk that doesn't be long on the finish .. Really good for people who enjoy the taste of Jamica but don't like th massive hit of cask funks ..

Nase leichter Jamaikaner; Zunge mild, bissel Jamaika, Süße, Rosine, aber irgendwie doch gut zusammen passend, pur geht gut, mixen bestimmt auch, für das PLV toll!

Ein guter Rum, mir gefallen die Artesanals. In der Nase hat man tropische Früchte, Ester und einen leichten Klebstoffgeruch. Im Gaumen kommt dann ein alkoholischen Geschmack dazu und wie ich meine auch eine leichte Kaffeenote. Alkohol gut eingebunden. Top.

Gemiddeld, had er misschien wat meer van verwacht... maar maakt me vooral benieuwd naar andere expressies van RA. Denk dat dit “maar” een instapper is, alsook in het Jamaicaanse profiel. De geur is zoeter dan de smaak en ik mis wat diepte erin. Afdronk is teleurstellend.

My second bottle is now coming to an end. A simple Jamaican that has everything you need to introduce newcomers to rum from Jamaica. It also delivers well in the vola direction and has a very good PLV. However, I now give it 0.3 points less than 2 years ago.

On the nose very classic Jamaican: high estery pineapples. Intense but light in wood and style. Not a bad start. Taste: a lot more watery than expected. Yet all the flavours are here. Dry. This might actually be a great gateway to the more funky Jamaican rum for starters. It doesn't hold back on the esters but is a bit too watered down. This would be great at 46 or 48%

Mild Jamaican nose with hints of glue. As expected, a relaxed Jamaican rum on the palate, with an exciting light note of stewed plums and cinnamon. A lovely sweetish banana note on the finish. Overall, a relaxed rum with a top PLV. A great introduction to Jamaica, perfect for mixing in the cuba

Milde Jamaikanase mit Klebstoffanklängen. Auch am Gaumen wie erwartet ein entspannter Jamaikarum, spannend ist eine leichte Note von Pflaumen-Zimt-Kompott. Im Abgang eine schöne süßliche Bananennote. Insgesamt ein entspannter Rum mit einem top PLV. Toller Jamaikaeinstieg, für den erfahrener Trinker aber etwas zu „wässrig“.

Sehr gefällige Einstiegsnase in Jamaica. Klebstoff, Banane, Frucht, junges Holz. Im Prinzip alles was man dem geneigten Einsteiger vermitteln will. Genauso geht's im Geschmack weiter. Weich und angenehm in der Süße, verschiedene Früchte wie Banane und Pflaume kommen deutlich durch. Schwach im Funk, aber das muss hier so. Kurzer Abgang der nach hinten raus dann überraschend trocken ist. Klasse Einstieg in's Thema, spannend auch um Leute an fruchtigere Rum Cocktails heranzuführen. Nachtrag: wirkt nach TECA und WPH geradezu absurd flach und süß. Dennoch ein netter Einstieg und wie von jemand anderem hier erwähnt: sehr gut zum Geschmack von Gästen austesten.

#4665 23.03.2024 Relaxing at home after picking up two sets of online tasting in Flensburg. At the same time planning what to bring to Blåvand when I visit a fellow RumX from Germany. Nose Light, light wood, faint smoke, ester, fruity, light glue. Palate Light, light wood, faint roasted, fruity, sweet. Finish Short, light, light wood, sweet, fruits. Not really me but I think you get what you pay for. The empty glass has citrus and dried fruit.

Ein guter aber unauffälliger Rum. Die 40% sind recht schwach auf der anderen Seite würde ein höherer Alkoholgehalt wohl nicht viel bringen, da wenig Substanz da ist, die vom Alkohol transportiert werden könnte.

Ein fruchtiger Geruch, etwas Klebstoff mit Ester, auch etwas Honig. Der Geschmack ist süß, fruchtig.
