#6289 28.01.2026 Got home from work a bit early today, so time for a few samples before picking up my wife. Nose Wood, light roasted, light caramel, plum, light orange, cinnamon. Palate Oily, intense, wood, cinnamon, plum, light citrus, spicy, light coffee, light caramel. Finish Long, medium dry, spicy, light caramel, light coffee, orange. Empty glass Cinnamon, orange, caramel, light berries, faint chocolate.

This Agricole from the Bologne distillery in Basse Terre, Guadeloupe was in slot #22 in my 2025 advent calendar. It’s one in the Les Confidentiels series that all are limited single cask rums. This is a Brut de Fut, but with a rather low ABV. The nose is intense, fruity and spicy with scents of prunes, orange and caramel. At the palate it’s intense, dry, fruity, woody and spicy with flavors of citrus, prunes, oak, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, caramel and toffee. The finish is long, dry and spicy with a flavor of pepper.
