Glue, varnish and nail polish hit first — then bacon, olive brine and citrus in a wild, chemical rush that a couple of tasters even mistook for Clairin. This Le Galion grand arôme is loud and a bit young, but the cask keeps the high-ester power in check. Sweet and peppery on the palate with overripe tropical fruit and a smoky, woody finish. Very special, and it knows it.

Ein sehr intensiver Geand Arome, der sehr wild am Gaumen ist. Süß, fruchtig, adstringent, Ester, etwas Holz und Vanille spielen auf dem Schlagzeug etwas ungestüm. Mir gefällt er aufgrund seiner Geande Aromen sehr. Vielen Dank @RumTaTa für das Sample

Verdict: maybe youthful, but distinctive. Sweet, overripe, ester, and a bit of wood. I like it. 82 points. Nose: a nice combination of pineapple, pickled lemon, putty, vanilla, nailpolish remover, a bit roasted, fennel seed, and eucalyptus. Palate: Broody, very round, overripe banana and pineapple, roasted, wood, vanilla milkshake, grass, menthol, fennel seed. Finish: long, a bit spicy (pepper) but also sweet, on overripe tropical fruit, menthol, and varnish. Just a hint of the woody and vanilla now.

Klassische Grand Arome Marker in der Nase und am Gaumen. Alles sehr rund und ausgewogen. Trockenfrüchte wie Rosinen, etwas Holzbeize, aber nicht so extrem wie bei Savanna. Abgang mittellang, vor allem mit Rosinen und Dörrpflaume. Für mich ein sehr leckeres Teil und hier für mich völlig unterbewertet.

Ich muss zugestehen eine interessante Abfüllung, die ich erstmal mit nichts aus meiner Erinnerung gerade vergleichen kann. Wer Klebstoff liebt mag ihn bestimmt. Für mich jedoch nicht wirklich was, das ich nochmal haben muss.

Ei wo kommt denn das sample her. War gar nicht registriert. Die Nase sehr funky mit lack und le... Klebstoff. Am Gaumen dann doch eher schärfer Nagellack. Rum mit Charakter und äußerst funk am start. Schön.

Overall the bottling cannot hide its relative young age. Yet the notes from the cask nicely balance the power of the La Galion high ester destilate. There is ample funk with overripe fruits, olive grime and chemical notes on the nose as well as on the palate.

Hui da zieht es einem selbst mit leichter Wasserzufuhr die Nase ins Glas. Volle Ladung Nagellack und Kleber. Dieser Rum kann mir den DOKs und TECCs dieser Welt locker mithakten. Im Mund ist er mir ein Stück zu säurelastig, hat was von Kohlensäure aber dennoch gut. Abgang leider ein wenig zu kurz.
