The taste is the greatest asset of this rum. The Port cask really doesn't come through but the bourbon on the other hand does. Would have preferred a bit higher proof which would have lifted it to new heights.

Soft and sweet with pleasant sugar, confectionery and candied fruit with a long aftertaste of oak and warm spices.

Positiv überrascht wie vollmundig der trotz nur 40% ist. Insbesonders im Abgang bleibt er lange erhalten

For 40€ you really can't complain, but it's a rum without any rough edges. Inconspicuous on the nose, pleasing in the mouth, but without much body and the finish disappears quickly. Update: some criticize the low ABV, but in my opinion more alcohol would not be so well integrated, the 40% is absolutely fine!
