The taste is the greatest asset of this rum. The Port cask really doesn't come through but the bourbon on the other hand does. Would have preferred a bit higher proof which would have lifted it to new heights.

A clean, smooth rum with a typical Spanish style. Light vanilla and slight caramel. Unfortunately, no real character or distinctive feature. Few distillate notes. If you're a fan of light rums aged in bourbon barrels, you should go for it. If you like it intense, better stay away.

Rum tasting at Oops D. 20.06.2026. Together with F. Kraemmer Theme St. Lucia. Nose on an adventure👃: I sense bourbon, distinct port wine sweetness, and citrus. Tongue on an adventure 🥃: I taste citrus, port wine, honey, and oak. The tail of the story💫: Sweet medium-long finish.

For 40€ you really can't complain, but it's a rum without any rough edges. Inconspicuous on the nose, pleasing in the mouth, but without much body and the finish disappears quickly. Update: some criticize the low ABV, but in my opinion more alcohol would not be so well integrated, the 40% is absolutely fine!

Very sweet. You can taste the bourbon barrel. Overall, an easy-drinking rum that doesn't really stand out. But it's not bad either. It's something for guests who usually don't drink rum neat.
