Anscheinend geht es aufwärts in der Welt der Arracks. Dieser hier ist schon etwas besser. Recht fruchtig (tropische Früchte) und vergoren in der Nase. Am Gaumen dann auch tropische Früchte, außerdem ist er süß und alkoholisch zugleich.

Einer der besseren Vertreter, mit Süße, Holz und Butterkeksen. Arra(c)k Attack 2.0 Tasting mit Artur einmal quer durch, von richtig fiesem Verschnitt bis zu erstaunlich guten Vertretern alles dabei. Tolle Reise zu dieser mir bis dato komplett unbekannten Spirituose.

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. A much more interesting nose than the previous ones, with butter, pepper, tropical fruit, cedar wood and esters. A decent entry with neutral alcohol, but also tropical fruit, butter, light pepper and pear. The finish is spicy (pepper), woody with a hint of pear. Unlike its predecessors, it doesn't seem to be a verschnitt, and has a Jamaican feel with esters, but very diluted.

Arrac(k)-Tasting 2.0 von Artur. Eine spannende Tasting-Reise mit einer beeindruckenden Bandbreite an Stilen und Profilen. Von rauchig über fruchtig bis würzig war alles vertreten – teils etwas unausgewogen, teils überraschend rund. Besonders einige Abfüllungen zeigten viel Charakter und Tiefe und blieben im Gedächtnis. Ein Format, das richtig Spaß macht. Danke Artur für die Gelegenheit! 😊

Wieder einmal ein überragendes Tasting das Artur super organisiert hat. Vielen Dank in die Einführung in die Welt des Arra(c)ks. Die Verschnitte sind schon eine wahre Herausforderung an die Geschmacksnerven. Wirklich überrascht hat mich aber diese BASF Abfüllung. Meinen tiefsten Respekt für die Zeit und Mühe die dort immer wieder reingesteckt wird. Eine wirkliche Ehre immer wieder bei solchen Tastings dabei sein zu dürfen.

Die Nase verspricht noch angenehme Ester die an Jamaica erinnern mit etwas Tropenfrüchten & Buttersäure. Am Geschmack dann ebenfalls etwas Ester, etwas Rauch und metallisch und leicht buttrig und minimal holzig. Rund ist das hier trotzdem noch lange nicht, da der Verschnitt immer noch zu spüren ist.
