#5867 16.10.2025 Enjoying some samples in front of the computer. Nose Fresh, naturally sweet, berries, light pineapple, cinnamon, light mint, anise. Palate Oily, fresh, naturally sweet, light wood, cinnamon, light nutmeg, citrus, light berries, faint caramel. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, naturally sweet, light mint, anise, berries. Empty bottle Mint, anise, light citrus, faint polish.

A big, bold nose. Fruity, blackberries upfront followed by furniture polish, tobacco and orange peel in the background. The palate has a lot of gingery spice at first but mixed with plenty of raspberry and cherry then some flinty minerality and a green, tree sap like note. Interesting. The finish is long. Sweet but still pretty fiery ginger joined by a distant bit of orange peel. Just hanging out there. A great rum. Not too sure the finish was needed, I think it hasn't really added much, it hasn't dampened the experience either though.
