The surprise here is how much it drinks like bourbon — one taster called it a rum that tastes "geil nach Bourbon" (wildly bourbon-like), all vanilla, cherry and caramel-popcorn over roasted oak. There's a glue note wrapped in coconut too. At 60.2% it hits hard, though: several found the spice and smoky heat almost too much neat, and water didn't tame it.

wow... RA shows once again who's boss... rarely drank a rum that tastes so damn good like bourbon. plus the alcohol content is extremely well integrated and an absolute pleasure. will buy 🙏🏻🔥🤤 Cherry, caramel popcorn, and chocolate-covered coconut... awesome!😍 for me one of the absolute best Foursquares on the market, glad I got a 2nd bottle. and that at the price of 50€ RRP back then! brilliant!

This is a tasting set from 2022 where we had a lot of fun around the table. This Foursquare is pretty good and the price tag is really good compared to what you get. Fruity with nice spices and roasted wood. The palate is intense and oily and the empty glass is really nice and I can pick up a light smoky note and some coffee.

Very intense nose with vanilla, lots of wood, fruit (cherry, coconut, raisin) and caramel. And then the full load of spice and smoky sharpness hits the mouth... too strong for me. Other notes can of course be detected, but they get lost under the spice. Adding some water doesn't necessarily make it better. The whiskey finish is very present. I like the nose much better.

Solid Foursquare. You get what you expect. Which is a lot for the price, in my opinion. No fireworks like some ECS bottlings, but the classic flavor profile is there...

Wow, that really surprised me. Great glue note surrounded by a coconut aroma. I often don't find Barbados that exciting, but Foursquare and especially these bottlings prove the exception to the rule!

Simple typical Foursquare. What was to be expected and nice. Light sweetness, nice fruit notes, minimal color. Some caramel with a nice color. Daily sipper at 60.2% vol.
