Just opening this after having tried it at Boston Rum Week 2026. Nose: Vanilla, toasted oak, ripe tropical fruit, orange peel and caramel, with hints of baking spice. Palate: Caramel, vanilla and oak lead into grilled pineapple, ripe banana, toasted coconut and roasted nuts, backed by cinnamon, clove and black pepper. Finish: Long and warming, with toasted oak, vanilla, baking spice, tropical fruit and a lingering dry tannic note. The Cognac cask really gives this one an interesting balance between rich sweetness, tropical fruit and dry oak.
