It's a 63% unaged Worthy Park pot still built on cane juice and molasses, so you get banana, pineapple and fresh sugarcane with a grassy, almost agricole edge and real Jamaican funk underneath. One taster called it "high octane funk" — punchy, intense, a bit pungent.

Bought this rum on my way down to Spain where I’ve emptied this bottle. It’s the successor of the Rum-Bar Overproof from Worthy Park, which no longer is for sale at least not in Europe. This one is a blend of cane juice and molasses based pot still distillates, which is different from the Rum-Bar that was made from just molasses. The cane juice part is very noticeable in both scents and taste. The nose is fruity, herbal, salty and funky with scents of banana, pineapple, grapefruit, and sugarcane. At the palate it’s fruity, spicy, vegetal, funky and a bit pungent with flavors of apple, banana, pineapple, mango, blueberry, vanilla, pepper and sugarcane. The finish is rather long.

Good value for money. Very fruity and pleasant nose with banana, pear and sugar. Too bad the mouth doesn't keep this fruitiness and is more focused on vegetal notes, a slightly syrupy texture, warm and spicy sensation. The 63% is there.

Nice fruit-forward ester bomb of a rum. Great worthy park. Fun! Very intense, best in cocktails, since 63% ABV is quite a lot. With a bit of water, it also works neat. It's a pretty straightforward rum, but very clean and a bit grassy in a vegetal way.

#5199 04.04.2025 Running through some samples at home. Nose Intense, fruity, banana, light citrus, light herbal, sugarcane, spice. Palate Medium intense, fresh, fruity, light herbal, sugarcane, berries, light citrus, spice. Finish Long and warm, fresh, berries, faint floral, spice, light apple. Empty glass Berries, light glue, light chocolate. Does very well in a Rum'n'Cola or just neat with a bit of lemon cest 😊

High octane funk You probably have to be insane to enjoy sipping this. Thankfully, I am insane. The nose offers salinity and that trademark Jamaica hogo/funk. Ethylene, over ripe pineapple, perhaps a hint of moldy orange. And to me, though never heard anyone agree with me, white chocolate. On the tounge you get more over ripe fruit, but it is so ephemoral due to the high abv that it just evaporates, overwhelming all your senses, leaving you with a mouth full of wonderful funk and feeling like you just made out with a palm tree. And I mean that literally. It’s a great sipper if you like the funk and can stand the heat, otherwise it gives you a great backbone to tropical cocktails while not being quite as powerful as Smith & Cross and playing more in the higher registry than Rum Fire. Did I mention I love it?

An intense rum from start to finish in great way. While the high alcohol packs a punch, the flavors are very well integrated and evolve as the experience goes on. Tons of fruit and fresh sugarcane dominate the flavors and aroma.

Good rum and happily sipped neat. It has a good intensity. The profile from nose to palate to finish is dominated by bananas. There is also a spice aspect and then grassiness/ sugarcane note, particularly in the finish.

First impression: fruits and herbs, full-bodied and intense. Nose: tropical fruit salad with olives. Palate: intense, strong, thick, fruity, herbal. Finish: warm and floral. Overall impression: the big serious sibling of Worthy Parks RumBar, full-bodied and heavier, solid for sipping neat, but I think the vegetal notes are even more interesting in mixers. I don't like the herbal notes that much, so I stay below 8.0.
