Freshly dug earth and cut grass hit first — several tasters had to let it breathe 30-45 minutes before mandarin, sugarcane and a little almond showed up. The palate turns drier and spicier than the nose promises: pear, nutty wood, vanilla, pepper, with a persistent earthy streak. A cask-strength Guadeloupe agricole that reviewers found honest but a touch young and unharmonious for a 10-year-old.

Tasting the latest ROA before the derby with Ben! A rather short and not very expressive nose that made me doubt, but a more generous mouth, on the cane, fruits, some spices, and also quite a bit of apple/pear. Yummy.

3rd GAF Stuttgart Out of nowhere, the sample was pushed on me by Crazyforgoodbooze. Unfortunately, not my thing at all. Actually, apart from a few exceptions, I'm not an Agricole fan anyway and I will certainly never become one because of this bottling.

Well... an Agricole of medium quality. Not really bad, but not really good either. I still like the nose best, as it has a delicate fruity note. The palate and finish are dominated by spice, earthy and grassy flavors. The alcohol is quite present at the end

7,5:On the nose, a flowery and grassy sugarcane is the first impression we get, with citrus and nuts like almonds, perhaps rubber. On aeration, spices like vanilla and pepper arise, yellow fruits, caramelized confectionery, the cane is herbaceous and mineral, as the wood slightly resinous. 7,6:On the palate, the sugar cane attack is flowery and grassy, mineral and earthy, the honey is caramelized, as the wood is spicy with pepper, ginger and a pinch of cinammon, slightly smoky and resinous, a bit bitter.Variety of faint fruits shows up, with pear, citrus and with an oxidation even pineapple, banana, then herbaceous aspect of cane and woody hazelnuts. 7,6:The finish is medium long, with green and grassy, mineral cane, slightly roasted, spicy wood and fruits like banana, baked apple and citrus..

Very pleasant on the nose, I find the whole very fruity, with a bit of almond and the sweetness of sugar cane juice. On the palate, a complete change: I find it harsh, even bitter, the promise of fruit is gone. A rather earthy, nutty and peppery taste. Only on the length in the mouth does the sweetness gradually return, passing through grass, then cane and citrus.

#5548 Relaxing with a few samples I got from a good friend. Listening to some old classics on Spotify. Nose Faint wood, grass, sugarcane, light medicinal, light citrus, faint nutts, light caramel. Palate Light oily, fresh, faint wood, light grass, light floral, light citrus, light nutts, light apple, medium spicy. Finish Medium to long, light oily, light wood, fruits, light Agricole, spice, light spicy. Empty glass Vanilla, light citrus, light grass, light caramel, light mineral. Needs to rest for a while for the ABV to settle properly. Not the standard aged ReimonenQ 😊

Last one for today before the worst over-Caroni comes :-) It's an average Agricole, really nothing more to say here. Especially lots of sugarcane, otherwise quite grassy, but also some spice here.

After pouring, the rum only reminds of a freshly dug meadow - only grass and earth can be detected. After 30 better 45 minutes, the sugarcane unfolds, paired with tropical fruits like orange and maybe a hint of pineapple. On the palate, the sugarcane is most present. Wood and nut aromas, as well as vanilla, are added. On the finish, again nutty with stronger vanilla influence. Conclusion: After pouring, I was initially disappointed and wondered what to do with the rest of the bottle. The waiting time was worth it in the end, even though the earthy notes were permanently present.

Absolutely stable reimonenq. Pear, ginger, caramel, honey and pleasant spice. Slightly earthy too. A bit expensive at €110 in my opinion. But not quite my overall favorite reimonenq. You can do it! Good choice for Belgium!

If you smell the glass here you know without tasting why someone might have chosen the barrel. Unbelievably fruity, lots of mandarin/orange. There's also impressively much fruit sweetness. The first sip is sobering though. Dry spice. The citrus fruit now especially recedes. Nothing exciting really happens here and somehow it also lacks harmony in the glass. So you remain somewhat disappointed, as you would have had a nice fruit bomb on the card at the start.

The attack on the nose is both very floral and alcoholic. You can tell there’s some power. Some white flower aromas add to the fruity notes of a very pleasant pear cider. The whole smells like blonde sugar in a very fresh scent. The palate is sober and there’s little to say. You search, you search, and it’s frustrating. Lots of alcohol, not very well integrated, brown sugar. It’s very (too) simple. A bit earthy at the end of the mouth. Maybe it needs more time and another tasting to see its rating improve. The finish is average and leaves little complex aroma.

A rather flat nose on the cane, citrus and an earthy side. On the palate it's buttery, pear, cane and again this earthy note returns. A rum not up to what you expect from a 10-year-old, it's definitely continental aging. A pity, it looks like an ESB because it really tastes much younger...

Knife tasting at the Nobilis booth GRF 2026. So short review. Nose quite reserved, rather unspecific and disappointing. Somehow OK, but I expected more. The palate impression then clearly better. Primarily sugarcane and grassy agricole notes. Not complex but quite tasty over time thanks to the sugarcane sweetness. Overall OK, but although I am an Agricole fan, this bottling did not really convince me.

Overall a disappointment. Somewhat unbalanced, thin mouthfeel, yet slightly scratchy alcohol. The profile is not bad, but I am increasingly coming to the realization that continentally aged Agricoles rarely have a reason to exist.

🔹 Nobilis ReimonenQ 2015 (ROA) – 55.8% Seventh bottling signed Rums of Anarchy: heading to Guadeloupe with a 10-year-old agricole straight from the barrel. A dry, earthy, even a bit austere profile... but honestly well constructed. A great success for those who like characterful agricoles.

Very good. Well rounded by the aging. Nice fruity and dry profile, pleasant and medium+ length. I don't find any "earthy" notes as I've read, a hint of bitterness on the finish but fine and very pleasant. Alcohol super well balanced! Nice rum.
