Pretty simple and one-dimensional. Okay if nothing else is available but I wouldn't recommend buying it in this price category.

Not a special rum, I was unfortunately disappointed by the flat note, no depth in smell and taste. You can use this rum for mixing, but don’t expect a special Cuba Libre or any other cocktail. Somehow insignificant.

A wierd middle taste which is unusual for a rum as it's usually the burn at start or the end ... It is a high quality mixer rum that I had on the rocks first then mixed it and it was pure genius ... Lovely balance unique in its own way

Read full review →I didn't try this with cola as whilst I'm sure it would make a perfectly decent Cuba Libre I would go for the younger Sanitago de Cuba if I wanted that experience. Fidel might not have been right about everything but I can certainly see why he enjoyed this rum...
