Chairman's Reserve Master's Selection (Cask & Bottle) 2011
One taster called it "a bit totgefinished" — over-finished, lacking direction — and that thread runs through a lot of the notes. It's classic St. Lucia DNA: roasted oak, cream toffee, red berries and tropical fruit against baking spice, leather and a menthol-tea coolness. Good, complex, cask-strength rum that a few felt lost some focus after brandy, red wine and bourbon casks.
The community says- Classic St. Lucia character
- Fruit-and-spice complexity
- But: Over-finished for some

How does Chairman's Reserve Master's Selection (Cask & Bottle) 2011 taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Complex St. Lucia sipper, over-finished for some Everyone agrees it's a good St. Lucia rum, but in side-by-side tastings most placed it below other Chairman's releases — several felt the multi-cask finish left it a touch muddled.

Good quality as always from Chairman’s out of St. Lucia. However, this bottling was the weakest of the evening. It just feels a bit „damp“ compared to other Master‘s Selection bottlings. Presumably there have just been to many different stills and casks involved over all. Still a very good rum but not in the very top bracket of what SLD can do.

Frankonian Tasting Gang - 21.03.2025 - Nürnberg: Fünf Chairman‘s Reserve in kleinem Cross Tssting.
