A fine drop. Everything that makes a good TDL. Not too much, not too little. Goes on the wish list.

Great TDL with the typical flavor profile of mint, dried fruit (especially prune) and wood, but a bit "dirty" on the palate and finish with leather and roasted aromas. Alcohol perfectly integrated.

Small TDL (blind) crosstasting, including three representatives from 2002. 1st Rx24532 - Swell for Taiwan 55.9% 2. Rx24534 - TWJ 56.1% 3. Rx23409 - V&M 54,1% For me, the Swell has the most mint on the nose and almost goes in the direction of 2003 TDLs (April Batch). The TWJ is fruitier, has more spices and a subtle mintiness. The V&M is very similar to the TWJ on the nose. I can't go into too much detail here, as the three are already very similar and even more so on the palate than on the nose. Everything you'd expect is there, but for me the 2002 TDLs just don't deliver. To me they feel like 2003 TDLs (the minty ones from the April batch), but with the handbrake on. They're all delicious, but they lack that certain something. Especially in view of the prices. Both the CDI TDL 2003 (Rx1629) and the "TDL light" (New Grove - Fine Spirits) were more convincing in a direct comparison (blind - mind you).

Thanks to Lukas for the great split. Nice TDL, but doesn't stand out from its brothers. Lots of mint, wood, dried fruit. But it can't hold its own against the Planteray, if only because of the PLV

In direct comparison with the almost equally old current Wu Dram Clan, which also has quite a few years of tropical history. The V&M is "dirtier" and darker, both of course have the same DNA. Lots of menthol, mint and therefore exactly the triggers that are welcome. I like both very much and am looking forward to the Whisky Jury, which should also be appearing soon. Great stuff. Seriously considering including both in the upcoming tasting to work out the divergent profiles. Cheers

A nice TDL, even if it's closer to old Clarendon than to Trinidad, due to some buthirric notes you can find drinking. A lot of freshness and fruits are the main traits along with some wood. Cherries and some yellow fruits are Easy to find.

Finde ich sehr gut! Die Minze nicht zu vordergründig, leichte gelbe Früchte, vielleicht etwas dünn wirkend, es fehlt etwas an Komplexität.
