Nose runs fruity and spicy (mango, dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon), the palate turns woodier, peppery and lightly smoky. Impressive woodiness for a VO. The passage through 4 casks brings something indulgent, a woodiness that is not too overpowering and pleasant. There is a nice homogeneity; it keeps an agricultural thread enriched with stewed fruits and dried fruits. A nice base in a bar.

19.04.2019 Meeting up with some old colleagues at this wonderful hotel. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, wood, fruity, spices, light medicinal, light grass, light honey. Palate Fresh, fruity, lightly spicy, light mineral, medium dry, light wood. Finish Medium to long, wood, spicy, fruits, light citrus.

For a permanent range VO rum, this Maison La Mauny is quite well done. The nose is particularly aromatic with its beautiful fruity notes on dried fruits, citrus (orange, lime) and tropical fruits (banana, mango). Then come the floral notes, and especially the spices on chili, vanilla and cinnamon. The wood is quite young and discreet. A fairly rich and enticing profile. The attack on the palate is a bit livelier and tonic on the agricultural and herbal notes. The wood, sugar cane and spices are more pronounced, while the fruits take a back seat. Although it retains a nice smoothness, the profile is relatively lively for a 40% rum, which is quite appreciable. The finish is of correct length, more round and fruity, with the same bouquet of spices and some toasted notes that complement it, leaving a pleasant memory in the mouth. A nice basic rum, whose aging under multiple casks brings a beautiful complexity to the finished product.

And another good Agricole after that. Doesn't reach the previous one but still good. Very spicy on the nose, vanilla and sugarcane are recognizable. On the palate it becomes quite woody and smoky, also pepper is present.

Pour un rhum de type VO c'est ue très bonne surprise ! Les saveurssont discrètes mais présentes, on sentbien le boisé, la touche de vanille et un soupçon d'ananas. Mais surtout l'alcool est bien intégré, ce qui est une très bonne surprise pour le prix

Not too strong on the alcool. Nice mix of flavor due to the different casks used (porto, cognac, bourbon and moscatel). Can still taste the sugar cane. Very good in Ti-vieux or straight.
