A bottling that I can't figure out right now. I tried it for the first time at the Village'25 in Nuremberg and was so impressed that I immediately took a bottle with me. I finished it the same evening as a nightcap, but it was far too alcoholic for me. Now I've tried it again a few days later and I'm thrilled again. Tried it as a mixer with cola and now I'm so taken with it that I'm thinking of stocking up for the price.

Nose: light, yellow fruits, gooseberries, a bit of wood... I have no idea what this could be. Possibly Port Mourant? Palate: tastes like column still, quite light and not very intense, mainly wood and barrel, slightly bitter, some dried apricots, alcohol about 65%, could be a young Clarendon. Finish: fades quickly except for the barrel notes, feels very dry. Good rum, but not my preferred profile. Resolution: nailed it with young Clarendon, happy!

Another successful young Jamaica bottling from Rumclub. The glue note is very dominant here, very cool! Some fruit and esters, reminds me of a good Blanton's SFTB in the finish. A bit sharp in the finish. The glue note is super!

Pub Alte Post Witten February 2025. Now probably the newest rum club, a Moneymusk. It's okay, but there are better ones. The nose is predominantly fruity and intense. On the palate it is strong and intense, we have fruit and bourbon here.

8,4:On the nose, intense with esters, glue, tropical fruits like banana, pineapple, grassy molasses, flowery, herbaceous, roasted wood notes like chocolate, roasted nuts, caramelized, spicy, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, bourbon barrel mark is strong, with yellow fruits, some are candied, red fruits, cardboard, confectionery and coffee arise, some allspice and vanilla, hints of rubber. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is intense with esters and glue, sweet with roasted wood notes like cream toffee, cookie dough, spicy with allspice, vanilla, fruits with banana and pineapple, yellow fruits, perhaps mango, as the molasses is vegetal with briny olive, grassy, fresh with tea.When the rum is well oxidized, menthol and rubber join, allspice. 8,2:The finish is long, dry&tannic, as fruits like mango, dried and citrus fruits pair toasted wood, smoky and spicy, vegetal molasses, dark with black tea and glue, rubber. Oktober 2026: 7,8 Spannend festzustellen wie sehr so ein Tasting von der Tagesform abhängig ist. Heute gefällt er mir deutlich besser, die süße und leichte Heftigkeit von Keksteig gilt mich sehr ab. Dazu finde ich heute aber auch noch mehr säuerliche Ananas, was mir ein wenig zu doll ist. November 2025: 7,6 In der Nase neben der erwarteten Frucht vor allem Gewürze und Klebstoff. Alles harmoniert gut miteinander. Im Mund holt er mich weniger ab, hier dominiert mir das Holz zu sehr. Guter Rum aber nicht mein präferiertes Profil. Erinnert an das RumX Rest & Be Thankful Tasting.

So now I'm finally getting to the MM from RumClub! A very spicy affair! Very spicy on the nose, which continues right through to the end and leaves a furry taste on the tongue in the finish. Otherwise there is a lot of fruit, ester chocolate and also some woody notes.

A little strong and alcoholic at first, but now that the bottle has been open for a good week it is pleasant to drink. The profile is fruity with power, and the NY barrel comes through slightly in the finish. I think it's a successful bottling. Tasting as Cuba is still pending.

#5936 08.11.2025 Having an online tasting with old friends covering, Denmark, Singapore, New Zealand and China. Hopefully we will all meet up in the beginning of the new year. This is a very nice release and I like the fruity notes mixing with the glue and light floral notes. Overall pretty good balance and a light dry and tannic profile. Needs to rest for a while for the abv to settle properly.

Phew, somehow it doesn't really pick me up at the moment, the youth still comes through too much for me. On the nose, I have a rather alcoholic note that reminds me of a cleaning agent. On the palate it's a little more pleasing (especially with a little water), but still quite impetuous, young, without much depth, and the finish is also relatively short. Sorry, it's not for me.

The youth of this rum reveals itself in a not unpleasant but somewhat tiring mouthfeel. Tropical fruits meet young wood with a slight glue smell and spicy spices before ending in a toasty-chocolate finish. Tasty, but definitely also edgy!

Wood, spices and fruit are very present in varying degrees from nose to finish. The sweetness is provided by caramel on the nose, which develops into cookie dough on the palate. The palate is very complex. Ester is the only thing you notice here, as well as the influence of the bourbon cask. The finish has a pleasant taste of dried fruit. The alcohol is sharp, but still okay. PLV is excellent in my opinion!

On the nose immediately the full blast of Jamaica funk... wonderful... ester, glue, pineapple, vanilla... it flows endlessly. Creamy it spreads on the palate and the funk continues... spice, wood and sweetness join in... that fits. The finish is medium length and shifts more to the spicy woody side. A good fresh bottling of an MM. Very good value for money.

Dark chocolate meets mild coffee in ex-bourbon cask, with a spicy fruity nose. On the palate, relaxed esters and light wood notes come in. In the finish, the chocolate brightens up a bit and cask notes remain present. Since the alcohol is very well integrated, this rum would also fit well in a rum and chocolate tasting.

A sophisticated, complex rum, not an easy sipper. Overall a nicely rounded monymusk with slight bitterness, some nuts, marzipan, and light fruitiness. I really like it! Surely great with chocolate!
