Powerful Long Pond with a great ester profile and amazing roundness. Power and complexity meet a remarkable balance here. Tropical fruits, fermented notes and fine spice are harmoniously balanced, a real highlight.

At first, a bit of alcoholic sharpness on the nose, dry, with varnish, roasted nuts, cherry, and lots of almond – almost like orgeat. Plus passion fruit and wood shavings. On the palate, clearly fruitier: chewing gum, cherry cola, berries, again passion fruit. Also mint and a hint of menthol, slightly mushroomy, overall with T.D.L. notes. The finish is dry, spicy-bitter with allspice and tropical fruits. Powerful, yet still round and surprisingly versatile. Not love at first sight – but with every sip, it reveals new facets. Very exciting to explore. Brings joy.

On aeration, the barrel impact is strong, especially with pastry, notes of petrol pop up. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is tasty with roasted wood notes, slightly salty, spicy with vanilla, baking spices and tropical fruits, overripe, like pineapple and banana, some lime peel, medicinal notes like esters, as we quickly arrive to strong barrel impact with various cognac tones, baked apple, dark chocolate and Cola, delicious dark berries. 8,7:The finish is long, dry, tannic, cognac finish leaves it s mark, with strong oak, the wood is roasted, especially with dark chocolate, hints of bacon, there are various tropical and citrus fruits, some menthol..

Communitytreffen RumX Acht Oktober 2025. Mal ein richtig guter Plantation. Jedenfalls gibt es hier (überreife) tropische Früchte, außerdem auch etwas Ester, Holz und Klebstoff. Ein echt guter Plantation.

Extremely cool STC❤️E! Lime zest, cola, dark chocolate, papaya, slightly mineral, bacony and mentholated. Perfect alcohol content, extremely tasty, intense and long-lasting. Ultra drinkable, you could finish the bottle straight away! Thank you Oli!

First RumX meeting. A rather sweet nose, very pleasant and complex with very ripe fruit, domesticated esters and glue. Rather soft entry, but immediately the complex, savory aromas rise to fill the mouth. The same aromas as on the nose, plus a lovely, slightly salty minerality. The finish is long on overripe tropical fruit, citrus and a sweet, pastry and woody side that had been hidden until now. At the very end, sweetness dominates, with a hint of cola.

#7146 11.08.2026 Time to run some samples. Walking and biking training for today is done and now it's time to relax. Watching Gold Rush on Max. Very nice Long Pond with an attractive price tag at release in my mind. Intense and fruity profile with tobacco, spice, licorice and roasted wood.

... great stuff that needs its time and I give it time ... Outstanding nose Tropical fruits, cola licorice, cherries very complex with many different facets. On the palate very pleasantly fruity, very spicy and a little ester. I like it very much.

This doesn’t really need an introduction. 23 year STCE. Cherry cola ester bomb with some chocolate and menthol. Even though it’s old, the barrel influence isn’t that strong and that’s a plus for me because I worry more about over- rather than under-oaking. Really a pinnacle of rum.
