Whisky drinkers will recognize this faster than rum fans will. Distilled in Denmark at Fary Lochan from molasses, pot-stilled, aged 4.5 years and bottled at 58.6%, it reads like a Highland malt: light wood, dried fruit, spice, roasted nuts, raisin. The nose splits people hard, with several tasters calling it musty or off-putting; the palate is rounder, sweet then nutty with chocolate and overripe strawberry.

Diese Abfüllung und ich passen nicht zueinander. In der Nase habe ich ein Aroma… das mich irgendwie abstößt. Es erinnert mich an Magensäure…. Am Gaumen nehme ich zudem wenig Rum-Aromen wahr. Alles erinnert eher an eine Whisky. Naja, es war ein Versuch wert

Sehr sehr speziell.... und mal so garnicht meins . Die Nase ist geprägt von Eukalyptus Bonbons mit mit Rauchig Süßer BBQ Souce... mmh . Am Gaumen erstmal Süße dann sofort Trockenfrüchte und Eukalyptus etwas Whisky und Rauch. Mmh schwer zu fassen das ganze... Langer süßer Abgang.

#5155 01.03.2025 Tasted at the Whiskymessen.dk in Kolding. Nose Sharp, light wood, faint roasted, fruits, whisky, light raisin, spice. Palate Light wood, light roasted, dried fruit, whisky, spice, light nutts. Finish Long, spice, wood, roasted, light raisin, whisky. Price to quality is not up to par in my mind.

Wer Whisky mag wird hier zu Hause sein, denn blind verkostet würde man ihn irgendwo in die Schottischen Highlamds verorten, als ihn als Rum zu identifizieren. Die Nase ist sehr muffig, ja ich meine sogar mit Fehltönen. Am Gaumen dann rund und eine sehr prominente Whiskynote.
