Ferroni Brut de fût - Australie 2013
Consensus here is warm — this Australian rum (a Beenleigh, per one taster) keeps winning people over, several naming it the highlight of a Ferroni run. It's dark and full: chocolate, dried fruit, oak, a leathery edge, and a syrupy, oily body that carries a wine-cask finish long into the glass. At 62.3% it runs hot, so give it air or a drop of water.

How does Ferroni Brut de fût - Australie 2013 taste?
Aggregated from 12 community reviews.
Dark, oily cask-strength rum with wine-cask depth A repeat favorite among tasters who tried it blind — praised as layered and coherent for its odd triple-cask path. The main catch is the heat at full proof.

Arturs Adventskalender Australien: Ein wirklich spannender Rum.

Ferroni Australia 2013 - 62.3 % sales A Beenleigh with an atypical background: 3 years in ex-bourbon barrels (tropical ageing in Australia) 3 years in Beaumes-de-Venise muscat barrels (Provence) 4 years in vintage cognac barrels The result is a full-bodied, lively palate, with aromas of tobacco, dark chocolate and a leathery finish. Surprising, but coherent given its impressive finish.

tasted at the multiverresspirits in Lyon: very fat, woody, pastry-like, with hints of chocolate.
