The Spirit Traveller 04 Panama Rum 2001
Sipped neat, this is a soft, classic Panama pour built around vanilla, caramel and plenty of bourbon-cask influence. One member nailed it as Nutella — hazelnut, milk chocolate and nougat. For 24 years old it's surprisingly restrained on the oak, and at 52.7% the alcohol stays well integrated. The one gripe: the finish runs short and fades quickly.

I had the pleasure of trying one of the last bottles at Nicolas’s bar at the GAF. Very tasty, classic for Panama. It has everything a rum needs for me. I wouldn’t pay the secondary market prices for it. If you get it at a fair price, absolutely recommendable.

Very subtle nose. Nutty caramel. On the palate, nice caramel notes with a good portion of vanilla. On the finish, however, a bit weak. All in all, though, a decent rum. Very well selected, Nicolas.

Unbelievably fair for 100€. Strongly reminds me of Nutella with intense hazelnut milk chocolate nougat notes, plus a lot of bourbon influence. For 24 years also not too woody. Very tasty and elegant! Great stuff! And I love the tiger duck! 😄❣️

The TST #4 is a 24-year-old Panama rum. Bottled in 2001 in American bourbon barrels by Varola Hermanos. The rum has a mature woody note, tastes of caramel and vanilla. The finish is short.

A very nice and pleasant Panama rum that is very smooth in the mouth and brings a lot of vanilla. I really like it 👍
