Bristol Port Mourant A Fine Demerara Rum for Haromex 1999
Twenty-three years in cask, and the wood almost wins — several tasters say the oak closes the profile up rather than opening it. Underneath sit the classic Port Mourant markers: licorice, anise, dried fruit, roast and that oily mouthfeel, wrapped in a restrained caramel-molasses sweetness. Mature and balanced, but the 47.2% leaves it feeling a touch thin, and the finish fades. Cross-tasters lean toward the younger Bristol PMs.

How does Bristol Port Mourant A Fine Demerara Rum for Haromex 1999 taste?
Aggregated from 12 community reviews.
Mature, woody Port Mourant with a soft finish A well-made, mature Demerara that does the PM profile superbly — but reviewers who tasted the vertical found the extra age adds wood at the cost of liveliness and intensity.
