7,9:On the nose, the first impression we get is a sweet roasted wood with notes like nuts and burnt sugar, a bit tamed, with dried fruits like raisins, prunes, perhaps citrus fruits, a hint of cherry, petrol note and spices. On aeration, the wood is charred with leather, smokiness, molasses brings some black tea. 8:On the palate, the attack is sweet, bitter with charred wood notes like salted caramel, leather, burnt sugar and fruits like raisins, prunes and citrus with grapefruit, a bit alcoholic, when rested well, vegetal, herbaceous aspect is stronger, especially tobacco, the molasses is dark with licorice. 7,8:The finish is medium long, sweet, dry and tannic, slightly metallic, with smoky, spicy roasted wood notes and dried fruits, citrus.. Edit:19.9.25, oxidation helps a lot, an upgrade to 7.9

1. Panama Crowned Lorikeet 15yo. Alcohol poorly integrated. Already sharp on the nose, then just some licorice and grassy sweetness of alcohol. The finish is flat as a board and unpleasantly metallic at the end. 50 points. 2. Panama Tahitian Lory: much better than the first. Burnt sugar, vanilla, a bit sharp and sweet-sour on the palate. Chocolaty. The finish is warm. Good rum, fun to drink. 77 points. 3. Nectar 16yo Panama: Very chocolaty with dates and caramelized figs. Very sweet and a bit smoky. Extremely easy to drink stuff! Towards the finish, the sweetness increases even more. Warm pleasant roasted and cherry aromas keep playing around the tasting. 77 points. 4. Panama Varela Hermanos RCS: The nose is quite boring and reminds of a better version of the first tasted in this series. On the palate similarly unspectacular, sweet, young wood, some yellow fruits. The alcohol is relatively well integrated. Like rum no. 1, just better. 66 points.

Well, a typical Czech cut. Good as a sipper. So there's really a lot of chocolate, caramel and also vanilla. That's it for Belize. There are really better ones, I find it very unfortunate.
