And then there's this really cool Savanna to round off the day and the vacation. I find it totally underrated according to the ratings. So the 74.9% feels more like 55%. Classic Savanna profile, a top rum.

Erst einmal vielen Dank an @TheGreatSpooner für das Sample. Und dieser Lontan ist genau mein Ding… die volle Ladung mit der schönen Fruchtigkeit von Erdbeeren (Erdbeergummi) und tropischen Einschlag. Gepaart mit salziger Olive. Der Alkohol prickelt anfangs schon etwas, passt aber noch. Der Abgang ist sehr lang. Gleich noch den Daiquiri-Test, aber ich vermute jetzt schon, dass es ein Highlight wird 😁 PS: Im Daiquiri eine absolute Granate..

#5197 04.04.2025 Running through some samples at home. Nose Intense, fresh, fruity, ester, olive, light medicinal, light citrus, berries, light vegetal. Palate Intense, warm, fresh, light oily, fruity, olive, light salty, light berries, light vegetal, ester, light herbal. Finish Long and warm, fruity, ester, light pineapple, olive, light salty, light medicinal. Empty glass Fruits, strawberry, light iodine, faint caramel. Needs to rest for a good while to really open up properly. Does a really good job in a Rum'n'Cola 😊

Naja, ist schon ziemlich heftig das Teil, meiner Meinung nach eher ein Mixer als zum Pur genießen. Denke zum Aufspriten für einen Daiquiri ganz nett. Den Rest mit Cola runtergeschüttet, da war er ganz o.k. Für den Preis, aber absolut fair.

Un brut de colonne Grand Arôme qui a de quoi réveiller un cadavre (ou dissoudre, à choisir). Le nez est intense, le côté ultra mûr des fruits exotiques et des agrumes, la tapenade d’olive et les notes médicinales sur les esters et le vernis à ongles en font une belle bête olfactive. Le versant plus docile se révèle sur le miel mais à petite dose. À coup sûr un rhum intriguant et qui fera réagir. En bouche, le profil est huileux, toujours aussi puissant mais marqué par des notes plus ciblées : la fraise, l’olive, les épices et les notes salées font davantage le show au palais. Le profil conserve un bel équilibre entre les notes végétales, médicinales, épicées et fruitées. Même si c’est un profil extrême, l’alcool demeure remarquablement bien intégré. La finale est très longue, intensément aromatique sur les notes esterisées, iodées et fruitées (ananas, fraise). Le profil chauffe avec les notes épicées et anesthésie clairement le palais avec sa puissance assumée. Il n’en reste pas moins un profil d’une impressionnante maîtrise, buvable même pur et qui fera une belle dynamite en cocktail.

This is a very intense wapeon. On the nose I really don’t enjoy it. Lots of rotting vegetables, grimy olives and saltiness. All of this turned up to 11. Quite different picture on the palate. Again very, very intense, but here I get intense fruits including the Savanna High Ester strawberry notes. This is very nice with the high ABV being pretty well integrated into the profile. This should be a bomb for daiquiris.

Wow! Was für eine Ester Bombe! Das ist Savanna Grand Arome wie er im Buche steht!😅💥💣🤯 Extrem überreife fast schon verrottete süß, vergorene Ananas, Kiwis und Erdbeeren und dazu salzige Olivenlake und süßlich frischer mentholiger Piment... Das Glas riecht man schon aus 3 Metern Entfernung und der Abgang bleibt ewig im Gaumen hängen... Absolut abgefahren!😅 Im Daiquiri ebenfalls eine ziemliche Waffe wie zu erwarten war! Schönes - wenn auch sehr extremes - Release aber sicher nichts für jeden! 😅

Beeindruckend weich bei dieser enormen Alkoholstärke und dabei sehr fruchtig bei gleichzeitiger Omnipräsenz von Oliven mitsamt einem salzigen, medizinischen Anklang. Kräftige Nase sehr Pflanzlich Floral , grüne Oliven Erdbeeren grüne Zitronenschale . Am Gaumen ist der Alkohol sehr Präsent... Erdbeerkaugummi mit etwas Olivenlake trifft es ganz gut . Schon lecker aber für mich nix zum öfter Pur genießen

Krasses Gerät! Die 74,9% sind kaum spürbar und unglaublich gut eingebunden. Die Aromen zwischen öliger Salzlake mit Oliven, Ester und vergorenen Erdbeeren sind ein sehr schönes Beispiel für die Möglichkeiten und die Diversität in diesem Handwerk. Wo kann man knapp 75% Alkohol trinken, der nach Olive riecht, wie Erdbeer-Kaugummi schmeckt und im Nachgang wie ein Fruchtkompot mit überreifem Obst daher kommt. Ich hab's ja nicht für möglich gehalten und beim Lesen der Bewertungen gedacht "was ein Quatsch" - ne, ist es gar nicht. Wie der erst im Daiquiri schmecken kann? Danke an Michael für das Sample! Bekommst du das nächste Mal ein Küsschen für ❤️

Very intense distillate, fermented fruit, lots of pear and apple brandy notes, kiwi, mango, also olive and mint. The alcohol integration is impeccable, of course the finish remains intense given the high strength, but also full of aromas. Impressive.

Savanna-Tasting am 26.09.2025 – Es wurden acht Samples verkostet und fachkundig erklärt. Der Savanna-Hype ist irgendwie mal wieder an mir vorbeigegangen, aber es war ein wirklich großartiges Event. Vielen Dank an RumX und das Savanna-Team – gerne mehr davon! Die Savannas sind wahre Könner und Handwerker. Komplex, 60 % Vol., die am Gaumen schmeicheln. Die Arbeit mit verschiedenen Stilrichtungen wie Creole, Traditionell und HERR führt zu einer Vielfalt, wie sie nur wenige Brennereien bieten. Alles top-notch! Am Ende noch Bowser. Der Endgegner knüppelt mit schlappen 74,9% auf unsere Papillen ein. Sehr frisch und klar, ein richtig guter weißer Rum.

Absolument buvable, c'est dingue ! Samure, olive, ananas plus que mûr, grosse sucrosité.. c'est vraiment fou. Forcément une folie en Daiquiri, c'est vraiment le genre de bouteille qu'il me faut pour le bar !
