Intense, typical old Demerara rum with incredible mouthfeel despite the "only" 46%. Rich sweetness of molasses, from a purely taste perspective, recharred barrels would actually make sense here - but whether that was the case, I can't and don't want to judge. Along with that, lots of leather, some dried plum, dark spices, herbs, minimal fruit aromas. Full-bodied, oily-heavy, for me subjectively a great drinking pleasure. Thanks to Johannes and Steffen for the opportunity to try this release!

Wonderful old Guyana profile. I would guess PM. I've just compared it to 1976 - it fits very well!
