Intense and fruity TDL nose. Orange peel, peach and a perfume-y sensation. That’s quite tasty for the young age. There is some alcohol on the nose but after some breathing this is fine given the age and ABV. Also very intense on the palate with fruits, a hint of menthol and milk chocolate. All in all a very nice TDL for its age.

Grad ins Glas geschenkt ist die Nase sehr alkoholisch. Nach 30 Minuten Standzeit legt es sich etwas und Früchte kommen zum Vorschein. Am Gaumen ist der Auftakt ebenfalls etwas stechend alkoholisch, bis dann schnell Kernobst sich cremig mundfüllend und warm breit macht. Erinnert etwas an die Obstkuchen mit Alkohol. Der Abgang ist mittellang, warm und fruchtig. Je mehr man daran nippt, desto besser wird er. Eine gewisse stechende Alkoholnote bleibt dennoch stets irgendwo vorhanden. Ein sehr interessanter TDL, den hätte ich mir blind geholt, danke für das Sample @DomM!

8,2:On the nose, alcoholic, intense, young wood, roasted with almonds, spicy, fresh, perfumed molasses, citrus fruits and peaches, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the rum becomes slightly pungent, hints of camphor arise, allspice, vanilla are out, some confectionery and chocolate. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is warm, intense, slightly alcoholic, medicinal with menthol hints, fruity with peaches and cherries, the molasses is minty, fresh with tea, floral, the wood roasted, creamy with milk chocolate, sweet with burnt sugar, roasted nuts, spicy with allspice, black pepper, ginger. 8,1:The finish is medium long, warm, slightly pungent with fruit schnapps hints, dry, with toasted oak notes, sweet, like dark chocolate, roasted nuts, caramelized, spicy with allspice, black pepper, pairing peaches and minty, fresh molasses, flowery. A rum tasted at GRF in 2025. A full nose, stewed fruits, alcohol, fresh fruits, a touch of vegetal. A beautiful nose, even if it is a bit spicy. On the palate you also feel the power, liveliness but also breadth, fruits, especially peach, stewed fruits and well-integrated wood. A light menthol refreshes everything. The finish is long, unfortunately a bit spicy too. A lively and relatively complex rum here. It lacks a bit of balance but is quite pleasant. I think a lot of oxidation will calm it and do it good.

Also einen T.D.L von 2016 hatte ich so weit ich mich erinnern kann bis jetzt noch nie im Glas. Irgendwie ist das nichts halbes und nichts ganzes. Hat so gar nix mit den typischen Minzbomben zu tun, die man sonst so kennt. Hat mich jetzt nicht wirklich überzeugt, da er zu alkoholisch ist.

Und dann zum Abschluss noch drei CoR von Dom M. Los gehts mit dem TDL. Etwas untypische Nase, sehr pflanzlich, frisch und fruchtig. Am Gaumen dann TDL, viel Minze und Menthol, sehr holzig und leicht fruchtig (Pfirsich).

23-05-2025 - Rate 8.4 07-08-2025 - Rate 8.2 Second time tasting this one. In a TDL/Guyana line up. COR has put out some really great rums the past months. And at a favorable price. This one for only 60€. 8 years old and 7 years in the tropics. Notes of wood, almonds, spices and dried fruits. Palate with wood, methanol, black pepper and dried fruits. Medium finish with wood/oak and black pepper. Dans l ensemble ce rhum s approche des marqueurs caractéristiques aux 2008-2009 pour la pêche et la fraîcheur ;et un soupçon de 2003 avec du cassis et très légère huile moteur. Domage que la finale retombe vite après autant d intensité. Un rum plein de promesses, un peu foufou qui demande à être assagi et canalisé. Mon attirance pour les tdl influence peut-être ma note !

#5604 Enjoyed at the Colours of Rum tasting at the German Rum Fest 2025. Pretty nice release especially when looking at the price tag. Fresh ans fruity with a nice edge to it and a faint floral and peach bouquet.

Characterful, slightly beastly rum with distinctive orange notes and a clear spiciness. Compared to older bottlings, the menthol is noticeably in the background, which takes away some of the freshness.

👃🏼Piquant, les poils du nez se frisent. On sent qu'il a de la patates au niveau alcool. Le nez manque de complexité. Il y a de la pêche et du camphre, quelques épices de cuisine, du chêne poussiéreux. Mais trop d'alcool. 👅 L'attaque est piquante et chaude. Nous ne sommes pas sur la fraîcheur mentholée des TDL que j'apprécie. Ici nous sommes sur une sorte d'ice tea pêche très fortement alcoolisé et épicé avec du gingembre et des épices de cuisine. Beaucoup trop fort et mal intégré. Compliqué de prendre du plaisir tellement ça défonce et pourtant je suis rodé. J'ai goûté son ancêtre juste avant et avec ses 63°, c'est du jus (pour ceux qui comprennent la réf). Ils auraient dû réduire ce rhum pour qu'il soit plus appréciable. 🎆 Longue et chaude, la finale nous amène sur des épices pimentées. Je lui ai mis la note de 75/100

As the nose is initially very alcoholic to perfumed, we give the rum a few minutes to open up. Then the orange comes through. The TDL DNA is clearly recognizable on the palate. There's plenty of peach and some mint too. Then there are the bourbon barrel notes with lots of vanilla. A nice selection and a decent introduction to TDL's cask strength.

Fast wieder vergessen zu bewerten🙈. Mitgenommen auf dem GRF 25 nach dem Tasting und da fand ich ihn für den Preis top. Klar ist er recht alkoholisch, aber was erwartet ihr bei 67,5% und nur 8Jahren Reifezeit? Nach dem Atmen ist es eine schöne fruchtig frische Nase (Pfirsich,Steinobst), mit jungem Holz und feiner Würze. Am Gaumen schön warm mit Menthol, röstig holzig, mit Pfeffer und einer dezenten süße von gebranntem Zucker. Für mich ein schöner TDL zum top Preis.

colour gold aroma pleasantly citrusy, a slight hint of herbs, not a typical Trinidad aroma, at 67.5% no alcohol taste mild, sweet, citrusy, again just a hint of herbs including mint, 67,5% very pleasant damn that's good!

A very fruity TDL, with not as much mint as I would have liked. The nose is intensely fruity with notes of peaches and vanilla. A nice TDL but maybe a bit too young for me. Price to quality is very good with this one.

The first sip was better for me than the others. That surprised me quite a bit, usually it's the other way around. The scent is kind of perfumed, lots of tropical fruit (peach), I expected more woodiness. On the palate lots of ginger, again I feel peach, black tea, at the end woodiness and mint.

A lot of fruit on the nose (peach), some wood, vanilla and something roasted. On the palate, mint, tea and a bit of ginger join in. Overall a solid rum, very perfumed, taste a bit weaker. Solid drink for the money.

RumRock CoR online degustation 2025. On the nose perfume which evaporates quite quickly and yellow fruits, floral freshness and touch of mint comes forth. Fruity and minty palate with some sweetness.
