#5314 15.05.2025 Enjoying some samples after coming back from the airport in Hamburg. Put my son on his flight to China for a long holiday with his mom. Listening to some Psy Trance 2025. Nose Medium intense, fruity, light polish, faint glue, citrus,light olive, spice. Palate Medium intense, oily, balanced, warm, faint smoke, light olive, light citrus, faint salt, light sugarcane. Finish Medium to long, warm, oily, light citrus, light sugarcane, olive. Empty glass Fruits, light citrus, light grass, olive. Thank you very much to the secret sample supplier.

Swell de Spirits, co-bottling series #17, VIF, Un-aged White Rum, 56.3% the blend of the greatest pure juice and old molasses white rums: Port Mourant Blanc circa 1970, Clairin circa 1980, Grogue circa 2000, Saint James 1970, Gardel circa 1960, Muller (Marie-Galante).... Nose: Between fruits, the olive of the clairin and the grogue, on a varnish background Palate: Warm, quite indescribable notes surely the port mourant in the mouth which takes over the attack. Medium finish between grogue and agricole with cane and pepper. Intriguing and “old”, I lost my bearings!

One of the best white rums I've ever had in a glass and one of the highlights of Rhum Fest Paris 2025. Endless complexity. Fruity and spicy at the same time. Buttery on the palate, with hardly any alcohol noticeable. Mika had aerated this demijohn for several weeks, during which oxidation did a tremendous job. Hats off. Unfortunately, far too few bottles...
