A cool mint streak runs right through this aged Marie-Galante agricole — unexpected next to all the wood. Thirteen years give it toasted oak, roasted almonds and honey, with pineapple, apricot and orange peel on top. It's dense, almost oily, and finishes long, dry and peppery. Grassy agricole sits quietly in the back. One taster called the palate "profound & complex" and meant it.

8,8:On the nose, sugarcane honey, sweet, fresh, minty, herbaceous and flowery, toasted oak notes with butterscotch, pastry, roasted almonds, toffee, chocolate, pineapple, dried, yellow and citrus fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, peaches, apricots, lemon peel and bergamot are obvious, so is caramel now, spicy allspice and ginger, very balanced. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is fruity with apricots and peaches, tropical, dried fruits, some orange, fresh with minty sugar cane, flowery, herbaceous, vegetal with cereal, peppery, , syrupy with honey, round, dry with toasted wood notes like pastry, nuts, caramelized, spicy ginger. 8,7:The finish is long, dry&tannic, with sugarcane honey, minty, herbaceous, flowery, green with grass, vegetal, peppery and fresh with tea, fruity with yellow, dried and citrus fruits, as oak is toasted, oily with chocolate, biscuits, caramel, spicy. #6729 02.05.2026 Enjoying some samples after a very challenging hike today. It was a good idea not to bring my wife today. Listening to some nice Psy Trance tracks on Spotify. This bottle had a pretty nice price tag when released and it is also a good rum. A fresh minty rum with fruits, caramel and nice spices.

Ja irgendwie auch ein anständiger Bielle von Swell, trotzdem fehlt hier irgendwie das gewisse Etwas. Ist natürlich (für Kenner :-)) leicht als Agricole erkennbar. Sehr holzig und nussig, etwas Vanille ist auch erkennbar.

Leckere Fruchtig Blumige Nase Vanille Tropische Früchte und etwas Minze . Am Gaumen Schwarztee Vanille Mango Pampelmuse und Orangenschale... etwas verbrannte Haselnüsse und Honigmelone. Abgang mit viel Bitterstoffen .

Very good Bielle profile. Freshness, varnish, plants, honey, macaroons, licorice and very nice spice notes. Complex, strong, warm. Full-bodied, spicy, honey in the mouth. Long, strong finish. Very peppery. With a bit of water it becomes drier and softer in the mouth. Overall typical, very good Bielle. Not for casual sipping, you have to engage with it. I like it considerably better than the 2014.

I really like this Bielle.. clearly more harmonious than the 2014 from Swell de Spirits.. especially here, besides the agricole aromas, you can also perceive soft floral and gentle spice aromas. The finish is then quite classic agricole, quite vegetal. Top.

Comparing the two new Bielle from Swell. In my opinion both are solid releases, but neither blows me away (I'm not a big Agricole fan anyway). The #20 has a slight edge.

Hier habe ich einen überzeugenden Marie Galante im Glas. Die kraftvolle Nase bietet eine tolle Fruchtigkeit, Zuckerrohr, Holzaromen, Konfekt, Zitrusfrüchte, Butterscotch und etwas nussiges. Dann fügen sich Honig, geröstete Mandeln und pflanzliche Aromen ein und sorgen für Vielschichtigkeit. Der würzige und kräftige Gaumen beginnt mit Holz, tropischen Früchten, Zuckerrohr, Konfekt, gelben Früchten, Vanille und Nüssen. Orange, Piment, florale Noten und Getreide runden das Geschmacksbild ab. Sehr komplex und spannend, wobei hin und wieder eine scharfe Holzigkeit durchsticht. Der lange und komplexe Abgang ist wieder sehr aromatisch und lebt von dunkler Schokolade, Gewürzen, Honig, Trockenfrüchten, pflanzlichen Aromen, Pfeffer, Tee und Agricole. Dieser Rum hat neben der präsenten Würzigkeit schön ausgeprägte gelbe Früchte und Honignoten. Sehr schmackhaft. Danke an @BananaJoe für das tolle Sample 😀

Pas très objectif comme avis, mais voici mon impression détaillée (bouteille malheureusement vide dès le samedi soir, pas de photo dédiée) : N : canne, fraicheur mentholée, réglisse. Caramel au beurre salé, ananas, zestes d’orange. B : ronde, chaleureuse, sirupeuse. Fruits exotiques, ananas, mangue, boisé gras, réglisse. Fruits confits, orangette > profond & complexe. F : Finale : Persistante et huileuse, chocolat noir & touche mentholée > durable et raffinée. Une finale beaucoup plus fraiche et longue que son petit frère qui me font monter la note.

Dernier des Bielle goûtés (rapidement, sans photo, de sous le comptoir) sur le stand de Swell de Spirits. Plus convenu et moins surprenant que le 2014. mais aussi sûrement un bon représentant de ce que cette distillerie fait de meilleur. Une belle canne pâtissière joliment boisée. Mériterait beaucoup plus de temps.

Elegante, recht fruchtige Nase. Uhhhh, der ist wirklich schön und richtig dicht von der Aromatik her. Fast schon ölig. Fruchtigkeit, Honigsüße, etwas Kräuter und die grasigen Agricole-Noten dezent im Hintergrund. Wirklich ein sehr schöner gereifter Bielle. Davon kann man sich gut eine Flasche zulegen.

Slightly nutty and long-aged Agricole. Somehow reminds me of a candidate from the Belize-Draw series by Romdeluxe... but clearly better, more pleasant and above all with a nice wood note. Very well done.
